Check out Marigold, the new project from Cat and Tyson of State Line Empire

January 6, 2015

One of our favorite guitarists, Cat and vocalist Tyson from State Line Empire has been working on a solo project, Marigold for some time now. He has just released his first song, Death of Me,  from Marigold and it KICKS ASS! Incredible riff driven guitars, intense energy that completely invigorates you from start to finish, infectiously catchy and completely delivers a nice heavy dose of hard rock! Check it out here:   Cat comments about his solo project, I mentioned a few months ago, that I have been working on a project that combines what I do musically and what I do in film. I have been trying to figure out how to roll this out, without giving away the whole idea. After all, what fun would that be!! It has been quite a journey, one filled with glorious victories and treacherous pits filled with blood sucking monsters!!!! With all that being said, I’m happy to announce that on January 6th, we will start to roll out some of the art and music behind [Read More]

Hardcore singer shows his soft side with his new emotionally driven EP

January 6, 2015

We featured Singer Guitarist Michael Guerrero last year with  his hardcore band, A Hero To Fall. They are a great band that we can’t wait to see more of in 2015.  Now, we wanted to shine the spotlight on his current solo project, Long Lost Love. Michael shows his softer side as his new EP, Nostalgia, brings to life beautiful emotionally driven tracks. Michael’s powerful vocals show their vulnerable side as his songs capture emotion and captivate the listener. Michael brings himself back to where it all began, writing songs on an acoustic. He not only continues on with both projects, but he has been pursuing his degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time on A Hero to Fall and Long Lost Love. We congratulate Michael on his new project and really look forward to more music. So take a listen and check out his lyric video for his first song, Gangsta On The Roof from his EP. You will find yourself getting whisked away as he takes you on a heartfelt journey [Read More]

Interview with Ricky & The Swedes

January 6, 2015

We told you last month about a great band we had a chance to check out at the Jingle Bells Rock and Metal Fest in San Francisco at the DNA Lounge, Ricky & The Swedes. They are fun, electric, energetic and will make sure you are having a good time at their show. They deliver an energetic rock set they describe as “Sex Rock”. They really caught our attention and we only caught a couple of their songs. I love their vibe which meshes pop punk with a doo wop rock flair. Their energy is infectious and they invite their audience to join them in having a good time. We had the chance to interview Ricky and Arthur after their set and are pleased to bring that to you here:   Here are some photos from their set at DNA in San Francisco. You can check them all out by visiting our post: Ricky & the Swedes at DNA. Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. [Read More]

Band of the Day

Check out The Menzingers as our Band of the Day

January 6, 2015

Today our featured band is The Menzingers and they are incredible. They have this true old school punk rock sound wrapped in an indie rock vibe. They are definitely a breath of fresh in air in the music scene today and they have been garnering quite a lot of high praises. Their song, I Don’t Wanna Be An Asshole Anymore really grabbed my attention from the first time I heard it. It brought back memories of sitting around parking lots with old friends listening to Social Distortion or Sonic Youth, trying to make sense of what the future held for us newly adults at the time. The music became our playlist of our life and that is exactly how I can see The Menzingers being that for the youth of today. Yet, their style is inviting to any age and would have a strong fanbase that spans generations. They will be heading out on tour with Taking Back Sunday in February and make sure to not miss them! The energy of this band has the audience [Read More]
