Interview and photos of The Pink Slips at Aftershock Festival 2015

October 28, 2015

Aftershock was filled with so many great bands and one of our favorites were The Pink Slips. We were so excited to catch our featured Spotlight bands perform and they completely blew us away! The Pink Slips have successfully rekindled our love for punk rock and synth. Imagine a young band that brings to life your love of 90’s synth pop music and wraps it deliciously in young spirited punk rock. No need to dream about it, because The Pink Slips is the answer to your wishes. The LA based punk rock band, Pink Slips is fronted by 18 year old Grace McKagan who goes by the moniker GRAVE. Her performance was incredible as she delivered punk angst vocals balancing her devilish and demure side. It was like a blend of Debbie Harry and Juliette Lewis & the Licks wrapped in Grace Kelly flair, but yet, was completely original. Her charismatic edge dances amid a fun flirty side with her music. The solid band was fiercely energetic and insured that everyone was having a great time.  Check out [Read More]
