Catch Bad Seed Rising out on Tour now and watch our quick chat from SF show.

November 7, 2015

We are so glad we have our system back up and running and can now share with your our photos and quick chat with Bad Seed Rising. We recently caught up with them as they returned to San Francisco and conquered another venue. They were at Slim’s as support for Ghost Town on their Haunted Youth Tour. The night was filled with amazing high energy music. Once again Bad Seed Rising rocked the crowd from the second they hit the stage. They might be young but they mean business with their rock and they are well beyond their years as musicians. As I have mentioned before, Francheska on vocals is amazing. She is the true personification of the new generation of rock. She has the spunk of a young Joan Jett, blended with modern flair and powerful vocals of Haley Williams and Taylor Momsen. She continues to captivate the crowd with her powerful vocals. We had the chance to chat with them shortly before they hit the stage and you can check it out here: When [Read More]

Ozomotli’s Raul Pacheco teams up with Devotchka’s Shawn King at BMI’s Gibson Guitar Showcase.

November 7, 2015

Ozomotli’s Raul Pacheco teams up with Devotchka’s Shawn King to tell stories of courage and hope in Los Dreamers at BMI’s Gibson Guitar Showcase By Patrick O’Heffernan (Beverly Hills, CA) My great grandfather was a “dreamer”.  An Irish child plopped down in hostile Oklahoma, he had to make his way in the land of opportunity. He did with hard work and determination to succeed first in farming and then in oil and  the nation is the beneficiary of his dream.  But he had an advantage that today’s Dreamers from Mexico and its southern neighbors don’t have – he did not have to fight being labeled “illegal” and deported.   Almost 1.5 million Dreamers live in the United States – educated, hard-working, many very successful like former New York Times writer Jose Antonio Vargas –  and they all have stories. Ozomotli guitarist and composer Raul Pacheco and Devotchka drummer/keyboard player Shawn King have teamed up to tell some of those stories in a new band project, Los Dreamers, and an album by the same name..  BMI’s [Read More]

SET TO STUN debuts new song; Mirror, Mirror

November 7, 2015

SET TO STUN out of Southern California are debuting a new song; Mirror, Mirror which is off their upcoming new album, “SET TO STUN and The Desperado Undead” which is set for a release on November 27th.  Guitarist/vocalist Damien Wong explained “This is by far the oldest song on the album having been written nearly 6 years prior to its completed recording. The song’s significance is paramount in understanding how we initially pioneered our signature sound. With “Mirror, Mirror” we first started dabbling in the idea of disassociating ourselves from the structural standard of writing music (i.e: verse/chorus/verse etc..). Relative to the other songs on the album, its structure and technicality is fairly simplistic, but offers great insight into the gradual development of STS and our cinematic approach to music” Check out the new song here: “SET TO STUN and The Desperado Undead” was self produced with long time friendJordan Griffin and was mixed/mastered by Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Attila, Miss May I). Pre-orde the album here: http://www.merchbucket.com/category/settostun.html.  Every order includes a download of the first single “Staria [Read More]

W.A.S.P. w. Lucky Bastardz and Rebellious Spirit in Munich. Review by Alex Bock

November 7, 2015

Concert Review W.A.S.P. w. Lucky Bastardz and Rebellious Spirit, Munich, Theaterfabrik, October 29, 2015   What can you expect, when a band like W.A.S.P. announces a show? I can tell you…. A solid rock show in a packed house with a crowd that rocks hard throughout the whole show. After almost six years W.A.S.P. released their latest record ‘Golgotha’ on October 2nd. 33 years in the business now, they lost nothing of their grip live, although they didn’t use fake blood or any other spooky props at their show, like they’re kind of famous for. They started the show with ‘On Your Knees’ from their 1984 debut album ‘W.A.S.P.’ Four songs on the set-list were actually from that album, the record that holds many of their hit songs like f.e. ‘L.O.V.E. Machine’. They also played ‘Golgotha’, ‘The Last Runaway’ and the ballad ‘Miss you’ from their recent release. Anyway, old or new, the crowd seems to have known every word of every song. There were only two short breaks during the show. They finished their [Read More]
