Small Bear Records release third EP from This Heel

January 3, 2016

Small Bear Records are ending the year with the release of third EP from This Heel which is the solo work of Martin Månsson Sjöstrand, prolific frontman of Sweden’s Dog, Paper, Submarine (who themselves released a new EP in 2015, with another due in early 2016). This Heel deals in catchy and melodic lo-fi indie-rock.  Where EP II was largely acoustic, III sees a return to more electric textures whilst retaining the laid-back feel of the previous record, keeping some distance from the more angular and noisy territory often visited in DPS.  For those new to This Heel, reference points include the likes of Guided By Voices, Neutral Milk Hotel, early Sebadoh, etc, but with Martin’s unique style shining through. You can check out the new music and purchase it at the following link:  https://thisheel.bandcamp.com/album/this-heel-iii
