This video was the most difficult out of all the Society 1 videos because not only did I have to perform but imagine what was going on in the scene. Everything was done on green screen so I was just trying to think about what it was supposed to look like. Become a Happy Bastard and pick up the new album from Andy Frasco & The U.N.

February 27, 2016

The new album, Happy Bastards from Andy Frasco & The U.N. is out now and is definitely a must have. The album which was produced by Rick Parker (Lord Huron, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) and John Avila of Oingo Boingo, and was released on Ruf Records. The album is described as  “twelve new songs are an industrial-strength blast of glass-half-full optimism, with the band’s self-styled brand of party blues jostling with funk, soul, rock and roots”. Co-written by Andy, guitarist Shawn Eckels and Kenli Mattus, these all-original songs are emotionally resonant and rip-it-up exciting, driven by the chemistry between the core U.N. lineup of Ernie Chang (sax), Andee Avila (drums) and Supaman (bass). Andy explains,    “I basically picked my favorite musicians from around the world.  I have a few guys from the Netherlands, Germany and guys from Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, and California. That’s my favorite thing about music. It’s so universal; it doesn’t matter where you’re from or what language you speak.” Check out a live performance of their track, Tie You Up. This was one of the last things recorded at Scott Weiland’s Lavish Studio in Burbank, CA [Read More]

A favorite band of ours from Austria, Light Up The Town have just released their new video for their incredible track, In The Dark. The video captures the youthful energy of the band and delivers an infectiously catchy song that you will be soon singing. They bring to life an edgy alternative pop rock style, all the while highlighting powerful vocals and fierce guitars. Check out the video here: From the first time I heard them last year, I was hooked on their pop/rock/alternative sound. I have said it before and I strongly believe they would be a well suited candidate for a Warped Tour. If not, we have to get them out here to tour the States.
