VIDEO: Coldrain releases new video, Born To Bleed off latest album VENA II

September 27, 2016

Japanese rockers Coldrain have just released a music video for their track, Born To Bleed. On the song and music video (directed by Inni Vision), frontman Masato Hayakawa explains: “While we were touring and writing this song it seemed like all the places we had been to had just been through some sort of devastating act of hate. Terrorist attacks and shootings were happening everywhere. There was so much pain that was more real to us than before. Living in Japan we live in fear of natural disasters. The number of earthquakes that happen is insane and the amount of people they injure or kill is way too much.   When I was writing I just kept writing down why?  Why is there so much hate…why is there so much danger, pain and suffering.  I couldn’t find the answers.    But I just had to throw those questions in my head out there. This is how the song became ‘Born To Bleed’   The lyrics were written with dark emotions and hope mixed up. I wanted [Read More]

Jupiter In Velvet new album, The ONE in The Many delivers a burst of inspiring exhilaration of positivity

September 26, 2016

Earlier this year we featured Jupiter in Velvet as one of our Spotlight Bands as we became completely captivated by their infectious alt-pop pyschedelic rock. We were immediately drawn into the world of Jupiter In Velvet as the music delivers a fusion of alternative, dance, electronic, pop and rock that delivers rich colors of emotion and feeds your soul. You can’t  help but allow yourself to join Jupiter on a music journey that awakens your senses. It is vibrant, colorful, and rejuvenates your spirit. It has the nostalgia of classic Bowie yet with a modern flair, that has Jupiter In Velvet staking their claim on their signature sound. They recently released their new album, The One In The Many earlier this month and it has taken over our playlist. We were first introduced to the new album, through the first track and single, Rule Your Day which was released in June. The track invites you to take control of your life, feel the moments and live! It is upbeat, addictive and will take you to new levels. Jupiter told us [Read More]

Check out the new track, Everything Hurts by King Shelter

September 26, 2016

King Shelter is from Orange County, California and has been described as a “Salad-Rock” band as they deliver  “a healthy mixture of rock, consisting of surf, grunge, alternative and anything in between. With the obvious layers of intertwining genres (or ingredients, like a salad) creating a unique sound, they also bring their complex lyrics and ideas to remind listeners to think for themselves and that no one person is better than another-in other words, it’s music made for the people, by the people.”  They have just released their new song, Everything Hurts which Taylor Hecocks comments, “‘Everything Hurts’ is my grandfather’s story. Life is hard. The American dream isn’t really a dream; it’s a vortex of preoccupations. But after all is said and done, the corner store is still gonna be selling those sweet cowboy killers n vodka. For the Krispis giveth and the Krispis taketh away.”  Check out the track here:   Their sound truly is unique and infectious.  “With the obvious layers of intertwining genres (or ingredients, like a salad) creating a unique sound, [Read More]
