Chandler Juliet bares her soul as she releases empowering new track Coming Down

March 17, 2018

One of our favorite vocalists Chandler Juliet continues to deliver infectious new music. Her latest track Coming Down, might take on a dark persona but it carries a great message of empowerment. Chandler released the song yesterday and she comments,   Coming Down is HERE!!!!!! I wrote this song right after getting out of a really tough time in my life. This song has the theme of addiction, and I wrote it about the struggle of being addicted to something you know is toxic for you. We all know what it’s like to be in that position, but when you recognize it, and say, “I’m done” or “I’ve had enough” or “I’m better than this” is the first step. And that takes SOOO much strength. My addiction was to a relationship, with someone who made me fall out of love with myself. When I got out this incredibly toxic relationship, knew I’d had enough, I wrote this song. The song kinda sounds dark but it’s meant to be empowering!! Because it takes immense strength to [Read More]

Now there’s first signs of life from three other bandmates. Today Laurence Beveridge, Drew Woolnough and Luke Illingworth released two songs they recorded. They are naming themselves ‘The Broken Kings’. Check out the songs here: https://soundcloud.com/user-820112797 Follow them on social media to keep updated: https://twitter.com/TheBrokenKings_

Photo Gallery: Dreamers return to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco

March 17, 2018

We were so glad to see that Dreamers was on the lineup for the New Politics Lost In Translation tour. They returned to the legendary Fillmore to perform and it was once again a highlight for us.  Dreamers are truly one of our favorite bands and each time we see them, they continue to impress us. For a band of three, they create a larger than life sound that lifts the crowd to new levels.   One of the highlights of their performance was to hear live their cover of Zombie by the Cranberries, which they had recorded back in November 2017, months before the passing of singer Dolores O’Riordan. It truly is a remarkable cover and to  hear it performed live is surreal. The Dreamers give everything they got when they are out on the stage and it you can hear the passion when they perform. Incredible live band that you don’t want to miss. Check out more photos from their set in SF: You can catch Dreamers out on tour now.   Make [Read More]

SHOW ALERT: KOLARS returns to San Francisco with show at Bottom of the Hill on March 28th!

March 17, 2018

The infectious and effervescent duo of KOLARS are returning to San Francisco. They are currently on tour with Escondido and will make a stop at Bottom of the Hill in SF on March 28th. The duo released their debut self-titled album in 2017, and have since been touring to spread the word of their blended upbeat disco rock & twangy rockabilly. KOLARS captivates your attention as they deliver a show like no other. KOLARS craft a full sound through minimal instrumentation: guitar and a tap-dancing drummer. As Rob Kolar sings and strums his rollicking guitar, Lauren Brown uses her whole body as a percussive instrument, tap dancing out the hi-hat rhythm with her feet atop a bass drum while simultaneously playing a stand-up kit, using dance to transform rhythms into natural extensions of her movement. Check out their video for their song Dizzy: So make sure to get yourself to a show. Other dates on the tour are listed below: MAR 18 – El Paso, TX @ The Lowbrow Palace** MAR 21 – Denver, CO @ Globe Hall** MAR 22 – Salt Lake City, UT @ [Read More]

Interview with our BottleRock Napa Spotlight Band: New Politics at their Fillmore headlining show

March 16, 2018

One thing is certain, New Politics are the must-see band of this year’s BottleRock Napa Festival. From the moment we heard they would be on the lineup, we were excited for everyone to catch their performance. It was nearly eight years ago when I was first introduced to New Politics. They were an opening band for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in San Francisco and ten seconds into their set, we were blown away. They gave us a performance that raised the hairs on our neck, full on non-stop energy and intensity.  Fast forward to 2018 and New Politics still succeed at delivering that level of intensity and magic on stage. We recently caught their return performance at the legendary Fillmore for their headlining tour in support of their new album, Lost In Translation. It was another magical evening as their stage presence electrifies the crowd and everyone is instantly infused with bliss. Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: Need more New Politics, check out our slideshow: The Lost In [Read More]
