Photo Gallery – The Unguided, Demotional, Eyes Wide Open and Beneath My Feet in Munich at the Backstage

November 8, 2018

Oktober 24th I was out on an all Swedish Metal Night in Munich at the Backstage. The Unguided were out on their Tour Royale and brought along some friends from home. Though the venue was not sold out, the atmosphere that night was really great. The Gravity tour brings Bullet For My Valentine to Munich. Contributed by Alex Bock

November 1, 2018

Bullet For My Valentine announced their European tour dates over six months ago. In between there was the release of their most recent record ‘Gravity’ on June 29th, two US tours and several festival appearances. Fast forward to October 28th, Bullet For My Valentine are finally back in Munich. This time in a much bigger venue with a capacity of a little less than 6000 people. That’s a big step up from a venue with 2000 people max. But then, Munich doesn’t have anything in between, though a place that size would definitely make sense. There were four bands on the set-list for that night. General information was, that the show started at 7.30 pm (as was shown on the tickets), but for whatever reason someone decided to start earlier, a fact that was shared on facebook about five hours before show start. So the UK based band Shvpes had the unpopular job of being the first band to play in front of not too many people, since everyone thought, that show start would be [Read More]

Architects reveal new song ‚Modern Misery’

November 1, 2018

Architects keep the new songs coming. Less than two weeks before the release of ‘Holy Hell’, one of UK’s most successful Metal acts, introduces a new video for the song ‘Modern Misery’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kC_xaRs9lM Just last week the band released a short film about the making of the record, their live performance at the sold-out Alexandra Palace in London and how they cope with the loss of their late band member Tom Searle, that died of cancer in 2016. Architects is a band for over 13 years now, they have released seven albums with Tom being their main song-writer. With their latest releases the band showed that they learned a lot over the years from Tom. ‘Holy Hell’ will mirror the current band members Sam Carter (vocals), Dan Searle (drums), Josh Middleton (guitar), Alex Dean (bass) and Adam Christianson (guitar). Some songs are based on tracks Tom had starting working on. The record deals with the loss and everything that comes with. So once again, it’ll be a very personal record.
