Angel Baby by Las Cafeteras is a familiar yet fresh gift to music lovers of any age

August 19, 2019

Patrick O’Heffernan Rosie Mendez Hamlin’s “Angel Baby”, recorded in San Marcos CA by the 15-year-old Latina, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960 and hit Number 5 a month later, staying on the charts for 13 weeks. August 7, 2019

You can forget the expensive fountain of youth potions and pills. The Alarm’s Sigma Tour came to San Francisco and their performance had everyone returning to their youth with full vitality and energy. The Alarm released their highly praised Sigma Album earlier this year and it has been topping the charts. The band decided to gather their fraternity of alt British rock bands and take the Sigma Tour on the road.  The Alarm Sigma LXXXV Tour with Modern English and Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel was like a musical journey through a time machine. The night kicked off with a stellar set by Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel. The energy was overflowing on the stage and the crowd quickly reciprocated as they sang along to their fave songs. Jay’s vocals were captivating and they gave 110% with each song. Their performance of How Do You Say Goodbye (To Someone You Love) was rich in emotion and soul touching. DIAMANTE releases new single and video for “When I’m Not Around”

August 4, 2019

DIAMANTE has released a new single and a kick ass video for When I’m Not Around. The new song was written by legendary songwriter Diane Warren, one of the most celebrated, decorated, and successful songwriters of the modern era. Her impressive resume includes dozens of multi-platinum smash hits and pop culture touchstones like “Because You Loved Me” (Celine Dion), “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” (Aerosmith), and many others. DIAMANTE comments, ‘When I’m Not Around’ is an incredibly special song, and the moment I listened to it, Diane [Warren]’s lyrics instantly resonated with me. The song perfectly describes my experience with love time and time again: constantly feeling unappreciated by someone who doesn’t know what they have until it’s gone. I knew the song would be vocally challenging to record, and because of that, I feel I was really able to pour my soul into the song through the vocal delivery.” Check out the new song and video here: This weekend DIAMANTE kicked off tour dates with Breaking Benjamin and a select few dates [Read More]

Pick up Shiragirl’s new EP Andi Underground and check out photos from Warped Tour

August 2, 2019

Vans Warped Tour couldn’t conclude their final tour without one of the artists who forever changed the tour; Shiragirl. “Shiragirl is the “punk rock Madonna” who forever changed the Vans Warped Tour. As the story goes, a determined Shira Yevin showed up to the 2004 tour in her iconic pink RV, created her own stage and performed atop it with her band. After receiving a rousing crowd response, Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman invited Shira to return the following summer to host an official Shiragirl Stage. The stage went on to host over 200 female-fronted bands, many making their Warped debuts, including Paramore on their first ever tour, and the legendary JoanJett.”  Shiragirl performed a captivating energetic set that also paid homage to the wonderful female artists that have performed at Vans Warped Tour. She even brought out some special guests and everyone was singing along. Check out the photos from her set by our Rockin Ryan:   Last month Shiragirl released her new concept EP, Andi Underground. Stream here: https://spoti.fi/32VhRh5.
