Blood Command release video for their new single “The End Is Her”

December 9, 2021

Blood Command released the music video for their most recent single “The End Is Her” via Hassle Records today. The video is released just in time for Blood Command’s performance with their new singer Nikki Brumen (ex-Pagan), which will take place on December 16th at the Vulkan Arena in Oslo. Nikki Brumen comments: “To finally be in Norway, exceeded all my expectations. I knew that it’ll be a life changing and surreal experience, but I’d never thought that my time here would be so incredible. The moment I got out of the plane (after 26 hrs. transit), I instantly felt like home. When I saw Yngve at the arrival gate, I broke into tears. It was so overwhelming, after almost two years of working on the band, to meet someone from the other side of the globe and that he was cooler than I could have imagined. It blew me away and I’m so thankful for how cordially all were taken up, especially my bandmates, who are the nicest and funniest people. We busted our [Read More]

Moon Tooth release new single/video “The Conduit”

December 9, 2021

Moon Tooth, who treated listeners to a new single with the October release of “Nymphaeaceae”, have released a second new single, the electrifying three-minute juggernaut: “The Conduit”. The song arrives with a kaleidoscopic clip that sees the Long Island-based band members playing in the round amidst a swirl of psychedelic-laced lighting and effects. Shawn The Butcher debuted the track via SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal last night and will be featured on Octane’s “Test Drive” segment today. “I’ll be the first to admit: outside of my three bandmates, I don’t collaborate well. Hell, my bandmates would be the next three guys to admit that,” singer John Carbone shares. “So [producer] Josh Wilbur, talented and delightful as he is, had the unfortunate task of getting me to play ball during pre-production. ‘The Conduit’ started as a guitar track Ray had written. One of the first few days of pre-pro was winding down while working on this song around 1 a.m. Getting burnt out on compromise, I told Josh and the guys to put a pin in it and [Read More]

Modern Error release new single “It’s Just A Feeling”

December 6, 2021

Modern Error have today released a brand new single, ‘It’s Just A Feeling’, taken from their long-awaited debut album, ‘Victim Of A Modern Age’, which will be released on January 21st, 2022 on Rude Records. “To me, It’s Just A Feeling, encapsulates Modern Error as it’s never been heard before.” says Zak Pinchin. “The song stems from finding your own self revolution in the noise and chaos of modern times; finding your purpose whilst reflecting on the world as we know it and seeing it for what it is. Leaving the world behind to experience something new. From trauma to euphoria.” VICTIM OF A MODERN AGE It is a truth universally acknowledged: life is about balance. The duality of light and shade; the interior and the exterior; the social and the personal. Thesis, anthesis, and, perhaps, eventual synthesis. For twin brothers and creative foils Zak and Kel Pinchin, the understanding of that polarity is a lifetime in the making, on their band Modern Error’s debut album ‘Victim Of A Modern Age’ it is both a [Read More]

Sleep Waker unveil “Distance (reimagined)”

December 6, 2021

Grand Rapids natives Sleep Waker have unveiled a reimagined version of their knockout single “Distance” today. First released as the lead track from their July album “Alias”, “Distance” is a commanding and emotional exploration of loss, unraveling vocalist Hunter Courtright’s experience witnessing his grandfather battle with dementia. Today’s reimagined cut finds Sleep Waker not only leaning into their love of alternative musical genres, but switching up instruments along the way. Drummer Frankie Mish takes up lead vocals and guitar on the new version and shares more behind the band’s mindset while writing it: “’Distance (Reimagined)’ came from our love of softer emo and shoegaze music. Everyone in the band has a major affinity for it, and we felt it would be a good time to highlight that some of us have talents outside of our usual instruments. Hunter used to play guitar in the band before Sleep Waker, Jake started as a drummer for a pop-punk band, Aaron had this hidden piano talent no one knew about, and I’m constantly writing with guitar” he explains [Read More]

Alpha Wolf drop surprise “bleed 4 you” LoFi Remix

December 6, 2021

If there is one concept that draws a linear path through the entire history of Alpha Wolf, it’s rising above their surroundings and doing whatever they can to continue their forward motion. After 18 months of uncertainty, the band celebrates their return to stages by doing something quite unexpected: releasing a lo-fi remix of a fan favorite, ‘bleed 4 you’. “The idea of this track was birthed during a gloomy lockdown afternoon”, explains Alpha Wolf guitarist and producer Scott Simpson. “We didn’t like the idea of having a year without a new release; and although it may not be what people are expecting, I think this remix caps off the vibe of what has been a really strange year for all. So I hope everyone can find some sort of comfort in this song wherever they are in the world.” Once the idea began to grow Alpha Wolf reached out to Mik, a remixer who has garnished a cult following after remixing everything from Counterparts to the Star Wars theme to tunes from Demon Slayer [Read More]

A Will Away share new single “Speechless”

December 6, 2021

A Will Away are excited to share the new single “Speechless” from their forthcoming LP “Stew”, due out February 18th on Rude Records. The song sees the Connecticut-based alt-rock band showing their range with twinges of twang, while Matt Carlson’s vocals vacillate between vulnerable moments where his voice floats above melancholic fingerpicking and plaintively anthemic multi-track harmonies bolstered by distortion. Sometimes we treat the people we love the worst because we feel like we can,” says the band. “’Speechless’ discusses the sensation of knowing you’ve just said something you can never take back.”  “Speechless” follows the previously released “Karma”, which arrived via a cinematic music video directed by Brent Campanelli. As with past efforts, “Stew” continues A Will Away’s practice of including carefully constructed connecting narratives throughout their entire body of releases, using contextual clues and lyrical devices that the band calls “breadcrumbs”. Whether through the use of tone, lyrics, artwork themes, or song ordering; these “breadcrumbs” aim to envelop the listener in a sense of familiarity. In tandem, “Stew” attempts to assert that the [Read More]
