Devon Kay & The Solutions announce new album – new single “The Optimist” released

February 24, 2022

Illinois Chicago-Devon Kay & The Solutions, power pop band from the flats of the Midwest have announced their new studio album “Grieving Expectation” out April 01st via Pure Noise Records. The band both recorded and engineered the album themselves and when it came to mixing and mastering, Devon went with longtime collaborators Mike Kennerty (All American Rejects) for mixing & Erik Atwell for mastering (Telethon). The record is a collection of maximalist pop-punk songs pulling from every genre imaginable. The record’s themes shift from previous record “Limited Joy’s” annoyance with death to the realization that there’s actually a bit of time until we reach that point so we better deal with our dreams, communication skills, hubris & a myriad of other things to fill the time! Masking nihilistic musings with “sugar in your teeth” pop music has become a mainstay for Devon Kay & the Solutions and with “Grieving Expectation” they’ve expanded on that idea tenfold. New single “The Optimist” is a theatrical ride through the mind of the serial mistake maker. An anthemic rock [Read More]

February 24, 2022

Rock band Telltale has today announced their new EP “Lie Your Way Out” is set to be released on March 25th via European label Rude Records. The EP features recent singles “COBAIN”, “Slowburn,” and “Out Of Control!” as well as newly released title track “Lie Your Way Out”. “This record is our viewpoint on being a part of the apocalyptic generation” the band shares. “We obsess over zombie films, live in fear of the daily news, and constantly foresee the end of the world. Or rather, the world as we know it. A generation written off as lazy and self-centered, we’re taught to think that something broken can’t be fixed from within”. They continue: “Movies I grew up on, like The Hunger Games, taught us that to make change, you have to topple this big establishment. But the most simple and effective tool we have is embracing our individuality. We’re taught that the arts are inviable, and that society’s rules are firm. But maybe we were taught wrong. Pick up that guitar, drive cross-country to [Read More]

February 24, 2022

Thunderor is an 80’s inspired heavy rock/metal band formed in 2020 by Skull Fist band members JJ Tartaglia and Jonny Nesta and Oscar Rangel (ex-Annihilator) on bass. The Canadian power trio delivers stadium-ready songs with an irrepressible drive. Massive drums, lightning-fast guitar licks, dreamy synths, and penetrating vocals form the musical framework that defines Thunderor. Their debut album FIRE IT UP will be released on February 25th, 2022, accompanied by a Europe/UK tour (tour dates coming soon). Meanwhile the band is already celebrating tomorrow’s release of their debut album, “Fire It Up” with a “yacht video” worth seeing!   The first single, “How We Roll”, was released at the end of last year. Since 2019, drummer JJ Tartaglia felt like he was looking for a new challenge. Having been a member of several prominent metal bands over the last decade and basically mainly a heavy metal fan, it was time to push his quest even further. He wanted to share his vision, his feeling… a message he could only convey with his own voice. Fueled [Read More]
