January 27, 2025

Rosa Bordallo is a singer/songwriter and a Chamorro from island of Guam. Since she was 19 years old, she has been living in New York City carving out a unique musical path. Over the years, she has written, recorded and released several albums and EPs solo as well as a member of the indie rock band cholo.   She is now set to unveil her second full length solo album Isidro later this week. This album is a deeply personal work that reflects her passion for music, carrying an emotional vulnerability that resonates through each song, yet providing the perfect blend of indie pop and psychedelic electro-rock.   Music has always been a part of her life, she comments, “Music has always been my outlet, my pressure valve. Spotlight Band: Juliet’s Not Dead release new track Sinner or Saint

January 27, 2025

Time to crank it up loud and check out the new single Sinner or Saint from rockers Juliet’s Not Dead. The song is off their upcoming album, This World Is Ours, which is set for a February 7th release.  The infectious new track delivers high energy rock with driving guitars and vocals that grab your attention. The song has a superb transition in it that highlights the talent this band holds, it is powerful and rockin. We anxiously await the new album and  WE ARE READY!  Stevie Stoker comments, “Musically, Sinner Or Saint is a high paced, powerful rock song with lots of layers. It then includes a total change of feel in the mid-section before returning to its flat out approach until the end.The song is a tale of someone questioning their own mortality asking ‘do you trust me?’ and praying to a greater being for help during this difficult time. It’s a situation I think many of us can relate to.  However the song does have a total change of pace in the middle, when [Read More]

The Backfires debut album THIS IS NOT AN EXIT, proves they are here to stay!

January 27, 2025

Rising Indie rockers The Backfires have released their debut album, This Is Not An Exit, and it is definitely one you don’t want to miss. The band says, “On paper, The Backfires have been a band since 2018. But for us, there’s a feeling we only really became a band in 2022 when we started living together in New York City, practicing and writing in a rundown rehearsal studio six nights a week. We didn’t know at the time that we were writing our debut album This Is Not An Exit, but it came together semi-accidentally as we honed the way we wanted to sound on stage. While the name is derived from a common safety sign on the backstage door of Mercury Lounge, where we played our first show in New York, the record is about all of the missteps and growing pains of your early twenties. It’s the soundtrack of our journey so far and a love letter to the guitar music we grew up on.”   The album kicks off with Brighter Lights, immediately pulling you into the musical journey they’re ready to take you on. The album brims with energy, delivering a collection [Read More]
