Mama Said; a fan favorite at BottleRock 2023

June 10, 2023

Another great band I wanted to let you know about from BottleRock is Mama Said. This Bay Area rock band has such a cool retro inspired sound, reminiscent of 70’s/80’s classic rock. The band has not only one but two powerhouse female vocalists and they work in such a cohesive state to create their own sound and style, like no other. Their set brought the energy to the Allianz stage and the crowd was dancing along to their guitar driven songs. Whether you like classic rock or new rock, Mama Said have exactly what you need! Check out some photos of their set by our Rockin Ryan: They released their debut album Changes in the Weather in 2022 which was co-written and produced by Jim McGorman of The Goo Goo Dolls.  You can check out their video for their track The Needle here: If you missed them at BottleRock you can catch them play at the Hopmonk in Sebastopol on June 23rd. You can pick up tickets here. Make sure to visit the social media [Read More]

Nile Rodgers & Chic at BottleRock Napa 2023

June 10, 2023

Performing at BottleRock Napa 2023 was none other than music legend Nile Rodgers. “He amplifies his legacy as a multiple GRAMMY-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist by constantly traversing new musical terrain and successfully expanding the boundaries of popular music. As the co-founder of CHIC and the Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like “Le Freak,” (the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records) and sparked the advent of hip-hop with “Good Times”. Nile transcends all styles of music across every generation with a body of work that’s garnered him inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.” Check out some photos from the set by our Rockin Ryan: You catch Nile Rodgers & Chic as they are out on the road  as special guests for Duran Duran on their Future Past Tour.
