Havok premier new video for Chasing the Edge

May 30, 2014

Denver heavy thrashers Havok have premiered the new video for their song Chasing the Edge which is off their third length full album on Candlelight Records, Unnatural Selection. The album was produced by guitarist David Sanchez, mixed by Terry Date (PANTERA, DEFTONES, OVERKILL) and mastered by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, LAZARUS AD). The album features the original artwork from Polish illustrator Rafal Wechterowicz (SLAYER, MASTODON). Check out the video here:   David explains about the video here: In case you couldn’t tell by the video, “Chasing the Edge” is about space exploration. This song is dedicated to Nicolaus Copernicus and his groundbreaking idea that sparked the modern scientific revolution. Without his bold observations that turned the Church on its head, you might not be reading this text on a computer screen right now! The lyrics are dictated from Copernicus’ point of view, but of course, the meaning of the song can be interpreted in many different ways. Astronomy is very humbling when you realize that we are an incredibly tiny part of the cosmos. No matter how [Read More]

Don’t miss Pistol Day Parade out on tour with Ted Nugent for the Shut Up & Jam Tour

May 30, 2014

One of our favorite rock bands, Pistol Day Parade will be out on tour with Ted Nugent for his Shut Up & Jam Tour. These guys are definitely going to bring a bad ass rock set to this tour. Their CD “Burn” which was released via Goomba Records and produced by Tim Patalan (Sponge, Lovedrum) is one of my favorites and I love their song, Rockstar’s Girlfriend. Hailing from Detroit are these hard working rockers who bleed out the passion through their music. Check out the dates below:   We are excited for the Anaheim tour date since we will be heading out there to cover the show. We will see if we can bring you an interview with them as well.  At NAMM this year we ran into into their bassist, Jason Lollio. Pistol Day Parade and were able to snag him for a question or two. Check it out here:   Make sure to head over and pick up your copy today from Goomba Music Store, Itunes or your local music retailer. You are going to [Read More]

We have told you about how Billy Idol is set to release his new album, “Kings & Queens of the Underground in October through BFI.  Well, now I have even more great Billy Idol news. Billy is set to release his self written memoir “Dancing With Myself” on October 7th with Touchstone and Simon & Schuster UK. The book is bold, searingly candid and written by Billy himself. Billy recounts his life story from his transient childhood to becoming a punk pioneer and from being one of MTV’s first megastars and revealing never before told tales of the culture, sex, drugs and rock and roll that colored Idol’s experience through fame. Later this week, Billy is set to appear at the annual book publishing convention BookExpo America in New York and then he will be heading out on his summer tour. We look forward to October and to Billy adding US Tour Dates after they return from overseas!
