Jonny Hetherington of Art of Dying talks with us about pianos, Sinatra and new album!

November 1, 2013

Rockers, Art of Dying from Canada have a constant spot on my daily music playlist.  Their music not only kicks ass in rock n roll but also have such emotionally charged lyrics that many can connect and relate to.  I personally, have experienced the power of healing through music by listening to my favorite Art of Dying songs at one of the hardest times in my life. It truly is music to feed your soul wrapped in blazing rock and roll.  Art of Dying is Jonny Hetherington on Vocals, Greg Bradley on Guitar, Jeff Brown on Drums, Cale Gontier on Bass/Vocals and Tavis Stanley on Guitar and Vocals. Recently, frontman Jonny Hetherington has released piano versions of a couple of their songs. God For a Day, a heartfelt favorite of mine, is now available on Itunes. You can pick it up here as well as Best I Can which is amazing too!  We recently had the chance to talk with Jonny about his piano songs and what is next in store for Art of Dying. [Read More]

French Metal band DAGOBA release new video for “The Great Wonder”

October 31, 2013

I have been really digging the new music by French metal band, DAGOBA! Even though they have been around since 1997, they are finally getting the recognition and attention they deserve here in the States. They have just released their new video for “The Great Wonder” which is off of their new  LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est,” that will be available here in the US on November 5th. Check out the video:     These guys truly have a great clean Metal sound that I am really loving! They kind of remind me of a mix of Five Finger Death Punch and All that Remains. The vocals are clean and sharp, precision drumming and bad ass guitars.  DAGOBA is currently out on tour in support of DIR EN GREY and they are making a stop in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom on November 23rd.  We will see if we can bring you an interview with this amazing metal band. DAGOBA is  Shawter on Vocals/Machines, Franky Costanza on Drums,  Zon Guitar and Werther Ytier on Bass. ~Marisol Information [Read More]

Falling in Reverse unplugged show proves they are Born To Lead!

October 30, 2013

This has been a busy week for Falling In Reverse  news. Yesterday they announced their upcoming tour with Escape The Fate. For details on the “Bury The Hatchet Tour” you can read more here. We just came back from the opening night of the Falling In Reverse tour, “An Evening with Falling in Reverse, Unplugged and Uncensored”. Today was the first night of their 14 show tour and it started off at Slim’s in San Francisco.  It was hard to picture how things were going to go, being an acoustic show and with a band that has such energetic and heavy music. Well, I will tell you honestly, it went SPECTACULAR! From the second these five guys came out on stage and until the last song, it was absolutely amazing.  The set included some Q&A time in between songs and I had wished fans would have put more thought into some of their questions. There were some  funny questions though which truly brought out all of the best of their personalities and it was nice [Read More]

October 29, 2013

Just announced….. Our friends in one of our favorite bands, New Politics which we had the the opportunity to interview on the Uproar tour, have just announced their headlining tour for USA. These guys have been so busy and just keep going. From the first time I saw them in 2010 I called them the Energizer Bunny Meets Nirvana and here they are… like the energizer bunny… they keep going and going and going! They have had quite a year touring on the Uproar Festival, then they set out on Tour in support of Pink and then 30 Seconds to Mars. They are just on fire and this is truly a great year for them. Mike Tramp is our Tuesdays Travels Pick of the Week

October 29, 2013

This week our Tuesdays Travels pick takes us over to Copenhagen, Denmark to introduce you to a very familiar voice, Mike Tramp. You may know Mike, (honestly… you better know!) from his years with White Lion and Freak of Nature. I loved and still love White Lion. They are definitely one of those ’80s bands that I continue to keep on my regular playlist. Mike Tramp has an extensive and successful career with his solo work as well. He most recently released Cobblestone Street earlier this year and it is amazing! This album truly takes you on a soulful journey with music through Mike’s life.  He has mentioned that all of his songs have come from just playing the old faithful acoustic guitar and singing. Mike mentions that this album is what like coming home after a long journey. Mike says, “I am not lost, I am not confused, I am not taking a break. This is the album I have waited a long long time to record, because I didn’t have the guts to [Read More]
