Fault Line release new album “Cloud 9” and it ROCKS!

October 13, 2013

Fault Line from Upland, California is delivering their new brand of music, “Modern Classic” Rock that they describe as loud/rude aggressive blus/rock n roll. What I call it is a perfect match. These guys hit the stage and they are there to ROCK YOU! I had the opportunity to catch them earlier this year as they performed at the historic Whisky in Hollywood, CA and they were awesome. Most recently Fault Line released their new CD/Album “Cloud 9” and after listening, it will have you on your own rockin Cloud 9. This album truly delivers some old school rock with a modern flair. They highlight each of the member’s talent on all songs. Sometimes you find an album that has some Kick ass Drums, or some amazing guitar work or vocals and you seem to forget the rest. Not this album, each member has their glory moment on songs and it will have you appreciating all their talent. Fault Line is Brian Karrick on lead vocals, Jeff Mordhorst on Bass, Jeremy Schoen on Lead Guitar [Read More]

The Jaded release first of several new singles, “Wafflebox (My Girl)”

October 11, 2013

Earlier this year, I told you about a great rock band from San Francisco, The Jaded.  These guys bring true rock and roll and wrap it in everything from funk, blues and an old school sound that just has you wanting more. They have been hard at work recording several singles and have released the first one. “Wafflebox (My Girl)” is out now and you can get it on Itunes.  This song is awesome! It has a great bluesy intro and then kicks into high gear with Jimmy Steal on vocals, he reminds me of a crisper sounding young David Lee Roth.  It has a great catchy chorus and just has you moving in seconds. I love the energy that this song gives off and the backing vocals are spot on.  Later in the song, there is a great vocals buildup that is fun and cheeky.   This local band has definitely honed in on their craft of rock and roll and this song, might be just the one to take them to new heights. Love and .38 release fun new video featuring “Just A Woman”

October 11, 2013

We have been waiting not so patiently and it is NOW TIME…. One of my favorite bands, Love and a .38 released  a new video for their new song, “Just a Woman” that as I mentioned before,  “has such a bluesy classic rock sound to it and I just fell in love with it instantly. It has a great chorus that makes me want to cruise out on the open highway with no worries and my Love and a .38 turned up loud!” As Danny Excess, drummer posted about the video: “Get ready… the new Love and a .38 premiers today at 12pm PDT! If you want to see a typical kickass rock video, than DON’T watch it! This is a combination of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!,The Karate Kid and Napoleon Dynamite. Hope you like it or hate it!” So check it out here:   I know one thing…. I LOVE IT!!  It is a fun one and we all love Master Bruce Stevens, especially the car wash scene.   Love and a .38 truly are one of the hardest [Read More]

Blue October SWAY tour lights it up at the Fillmore in San Francisco

October 10, 2013

One of the tours that I have been most excited about this year is the Blue October SWAY tour and last night it was San Francisco’s turn to enjoy the show.  Well, I have to say Congratulations Blue October, you truly hit out of the ballpark last night.  It was amazing in so many ways. Their were two opening bands and both were spectacular. First you were treated to Tori Vasquez and her band. We had the pleasure of seeing her perform on Justin’s Open Book Tour and last night she played with her band. They were spot on and the crowd was really enjoying them. We have more about Tori Vasquez here. Next up, were The Unlikely Candidates from Keller, Texas and these five guys came out with full energy and an incredible set. You can read more about their performance on our post here. Then, Blue October took the stage and it was as if all was right in the world as I looked over to the right and saw C.B. Hudson. It was [Read More]

The Unlikely Candidates have my vote for great new music!

October 10, 2013

Last night Blue October returned to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco for their SWAY tour. Opening up for them was a fantastic five piece band from Keller, Texas called The Unlikely Candidates.  They have a strong alternative rock/grunge style that blends with a bit of southern rock. It is a perfect combination that brings these five guys together to form The Unlikely Candidates. They came out with an energetic and charismatic performance. On guitars you have Brent Carney and Cole Male. Cole has a spirited stage presence and Brent delivers some great backing vocals as well. Jared Hornbeek jumps around and gets the crowd pumped with his smooth bass lines. Kevin Goddard and his intense energy deliver pack a punch heavy drumming.  The singer, Kyle Morris truly brings the crowd to their feet as he not only dishes out amazing vocals, but is high spirited in his stage antics.  They really put on a powerful show and for an opening band, delivered a headlining performance. You will definitely want to check out this band. One [Read More]
