June 18, 2013

Falling in Reverse set the Roxy on fire today for their daytime show which was streamed live worldwide. This live stream was presented by Hot Topic and the only way to get into this exclusive show was to pre-order their new CD bundle “Fashionably Late” which was released today, June 18th on Epitaph Records. For those that purchased the package in the Southern California Hot Topic stores were treated to a free all ages show at the Roxy on the Sunset Strip. We had the opportunity to watch the show and I will let you know…. Falling in Reverse is a force to be reckoned with. This just may be their year and I am very excited for all of them.  This band has had to endure many ups and downs and to see how far they have come after climbing over a mountain of haters they are certainly reigning as “Champions”.  Obviously their haters are their motivators and if they continue to push the bar with their music, they will continue to rise to [Read More]

Get under the spell of Red9 and rock!

June 14, 2013

Today I was treated to a special afternoon filled with some KICK ASS Rock and Roll!!! I recently received the new CD by Red9 “Under Dark Skies”.  It was a perfect sunny afternoon spent sitting outside and set the CD on play….. Then it began… Under Dark Skies… The first song Hold Your Own brings such a great Sabbath/Ozzy sound that just wakes you your senses and demands you take a listen. Great first song that has you looking forward to more. Patterns comes in next with an incredible drum and bass intro that just leads into an incredible rhythm that just sustains throughout the song. You are now just getting started and ready to rock and roll. Song 3 is Ignoramus and has a dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song. You continue on with Lead on and Mother that has me scouring the internet to find out when their next show is. I am starting to get cravings for their live shows! We saw them last year open for Slash [Read More]

Station I told you about Station last week and as promised, here is our interview with Pat. Take a read and you can get to know more about this incredible Rock Band from New York. Also included below is our original post on them! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Music Junkie Press:  How did Station form? Pat:  Station formed in September of 2010 when I met our guitarist Chris. We found each other through the NY music scene and set up a jam session/audition with each other. From that moment on, Chris and I have been working together. * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Who does the writing or is it a collaborative effort? Pat: There is no set way we write.
