Bakar’s Dynamic set captivates San Francisco Audience

July 3, 2024

One of our favorite artists, Bakar, was the second opener for Cage the Elephant, following Willow Avalon,  with her country roots. Cage The Elephant’s choice to bring a variety of openers showcased their commitment to offering a diverse musical experience for their fans. Bakar’s performance was a testament to his versatility and charisma. Bakar commanded the crowd with his stage presence, a feat that’s especially impressive when performing solo on a large stage. Known for his experimental indie rock that bridges genre gaps by incorporating rap, rock, and punk elements, the English singer delivered a dynamic and engaging set. Partway through his performance Bakar had to pause to ensure that security attended to someone in need within the immense, packed crowd. The audience patiently waited, understanding the importance of concert-goers safety, even though it meant missing out on one song from his set. Once the situation was under control, Bakar swiftly brought the crowd’s energy back up, closing out the set with his No. 1 hit, “Hell N Back”. The crowd went wild singing along [Read More]

Willow Avalon impresses as opener for Cage the Elephant

July 3, 2024

Last night Cage the Elephant had a stop at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for the Neon Pill Tour. Opening the show was country artist Willow Avalon followed by Bakar.  Willow Avalon’s performance was nothing short of refreshing. Cage The Elephant’s choice to bring a variety of openers, including Avalon with her country roots and Bakar with his experimental indie rock/rap, showcased their commitment to offering a diverse musical experience for their fans. Willow Avalon’s set was a delightful blend of nostalgic old school country with a contemporary flare on classic country. Her captivating and fun stage presence immediately drew the packed venue’s attention.  Starting her set off with her popular track, Stranger, she quickly established a connection with the audience. By the time she reached her final song, Homewrecker, the crowd was fully engaged and singing along. One of the standout moments of her set was her performance of Gettin’ Rich, Goin’ Broke which emerged as a crowd favorite. Her ability to merge classic country influences with a modern twist made [Read More]

Friday night, San Francisco’s Cafe DuNord hosted a sold out show featuring the extraordinary young guitarist Emi Grace. Emi was opening for Winnetka Bowling.League. Despite her youth, Emi Grace has already carved out a significant presence in the  music world. She garnered high praise for her self-taught guitar playing which showcased her unique shredding prowess and distinctive trashy tone. The intimate setting of Cafe DuNord provided the perfect backdrop for Emi’s raw and edgy performance. From the moment she took the stage, her high energy angsty vocals and electrifying guitar work captivated the audience. The young crowd was packed shoulder to shoulder, completely immersed in her music and rockin out to each note. Emi Grace’s performance was a masterclass in blending her unique technical skill with raw emotional power. Cannons sold out show at August Hall exceeds all our expectations

May 28, 2024

Cannons have been selling out shows left and right. They have continued to be one of the hottest shows around. We caught them last year at the Fox Theater in Oakland and it was a magical night. We were able to catch them perform at BottleRock Napa this past weekend and they dominated the Verizon Stage. We didn’t think they could top that performance and yet they did. Last night they played at the August Hall in San Francisco to a packed venue. The show sold out almost immediately after it went on sale. The night kicked off with a spectacular set from Jane Leo. The crowd was well warmed up and then continued to erupt in cheers and went wild when they hit the stage. From that moment on, Cannons held the audience captive with their mesmerizing set.
