Electrifying Night: Emi Grace stuns at sold-out Cafe DuNord Show

  Friday night, San Francisco’s Cafe DuNord hosted a sold out show featuring the extraordinary young guitarist Emi Grace. Emi was opening for Winnetka Bowling.League. Despite her youth, Emi Grace has already carved out a significant presence in the  music world. She garnered high praise for her self-taught guitar playing which showcased her unique shredding prowess and distinctive trashy tone. Legendary Guitarist Peter Frampton confirms The Positively Thankful Tour

Legendary Grammy Award winning guitaritst Peter Frampton has confirmed dates for The Positively Thankful Tour. The soon-to-be Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee will embark out on the tour this September and will include stops at New York’s Beacon Theatre, Washington D.C.’s The Warner Theatre, Philadelphia’s The Metropolitan Opera House and more. Peter comments, “It’s been an incredible year for me and my band so far. First the nomination, then you guys voted like crazy and got me into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Come September, we’ll be back out for nine more shows on ‘The Positively Thankful Tour’! Gibson introduces Jason Isbell “Red Eye” collector edition

  Introducing a Collector’s Edition clone of Jason Isbell’s famous ’59 Les Paul, “Red Eye.” “Red Eye” was the long-time sidekick of Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd. After Ed passed away in 2018, six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Americana artist Jason Isbell purchased Red Eye and often features it in his stage and studio performances. Only 59 of these exceptional instruments have been handmade by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop and Murphy Lab in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of this extraordinary Collector’s Edition run. An Illustrious History  Like many ’59 Les Pauls, “Red Eye” has a unique and illustrious history. Much of the red color on the top faded while displayed in a store window, except for a patch below the toggle switch that was covered by a hangtag. BottleRock Highlight is 17 year old superstar guitarist Grace Bowers

17 year old superstar guitarist Grace Bowers was a true highlight at this year’s BottleRock Napa 2024 Festival.  With her red SG Gibson guitar, she blew away crowd after crowd.  Not only performing on the main stage but she also played the Jam Pad as well as joining a couple of the sets.  Several fans were treated to an intimate performance at the Prudential special stage. Hannah Wicklund lights up the Cafe DuNord with her stellar solo set

Last night opening up for Devon Gilfillian on his headlining tour, Hannah Wicklund performed a solo set in San Francisco.  Capturing the illustrious singer/songwriter/guitarist Hannah in the intimate setting of the Cafe DuNord was the crowning achievement for a midweek show in the city.  She delivered a flawless set that highlighted her passion and dedication in creating musical compositions with lyrics that bring vulnerability as well as empowerment to life. Bravo to this young lady who is a true powerhouse in the music scene today. The set started off with the blistering track On Fire, where you can really hear her guitarwork shine on a Gibson semi-hollow. The tone was impeccable. ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Kyle Rising shines with performance at The Independent SF

One of our favorite sets of the year was not at a large festival, stadium venue, world tour events. It was at the intimate venue The Independent in San Francisco last week.  We were heading out to cover BabyJake on the SF tour stop and were happy to see that Kyle Rising was an opener.   We watched several of his Doors covers via Instagram and couldn’t help but be in awe of his uncanny resemblance to Jim Morrison and the amazing vocals to match.  One thing is certain, although you might have been introduced to Kyle through his Doors covers, it is his own style and songs that will keep you a longtime fan.  His music and vibe brings a nostalgic nod to the 70’s, all while his alluring voice delivers pure perfection with rich tones that hold you captivated. Hannah Wicklund releases emotionally healing new track, Witness

  Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Hannah Wicklund is set to release her full length album The Prize on October 13th.  On July 26th, Wicklund released her latest single, Witness, which is off her upcoming album. The song is her most personal to date and about claiming heartbreak, embracing it and using that to heal through some of the toughest times in life. Hannah confesses, “Getting into your first relationship as a strong, driven young woman, it’s very difficult to experience someone dim your light, but even harder to recognize it. Insecurities within young people play out in terrifying ways, and it’s very hard to not absorb other people’s darkness.
