The Last Dinner Party deliver a pure night of ecstatic revelry at the El Rey Theatre

  November 6th, 2023 was a night that will go down in our music history.  We travelled from San Francisco to attend the first Los Angeles show of The Last Dinner Party at the El Rey Theatre.  The show was sold out and was one of only 5 US shows on their tour. This was a night not to be missed. We first heard The Last Dinner Party on our local radio station Live 105 as they were featuring up and coming bands.  They played Nothing Matters and we were hooked from the first listen. We voraciously searched for more information on this English band and sat in sadness as they didn’t have any shows yet in the US.  We spent months playing their songs and wishing for a time to catch them live. From the first time we heard them earlier this year, we were instantly hooked and fell in love with their new era of alt synth glam rock. CONCERT REVIEW: Static and Surrender ‘Electrifies’ @ Hollywood’s Hotel Café

Written by Jessica Klausing Bay area rockers Static and Surrender are on tour throughout California in honor of their debut album release. Their energetic riffs and rhythms are on par with the alternative superstar acts such as Lifehouse and Matchbox Twenty. Jeff Campbell (lead vocals, guitar) backed by John Schuman (drums), Adam Schuman (guitar, vocals), and Lauren Stockner (bass player) delivered a passionate performance at Hollywood’s Hotel Café. Jeff Campbell puts his heart into each song and it certainly shows. He kept the set running smoothly and without interruption for the majority of the night. Opening up with “Killing The Vibe” Campbell belts a powerful vocal delivery that commands the attention in a room while his band mates exerted lighting-in-a-bottle energy around the small stage with ease. Laura Michelle Celebrates Album Release with Drake Bell at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre

  Laura Michelle, the singer-songwriter behind the video viral hit, “Chuck Norris”, hosted a local release party for her album, Novel With No End last Friday night at the El Rey Theatre in downtown Los Angeles along with special guest performers. Peter and the Lion kicked off the night with their quaint and eccentric pop songs. These catchy hits were a great start to the party as they were able to draw the audience closer to the stage. Following the first act was Drake Bell and his band, whose performance was nothing short than epic! Bell launched into the 50s blues infused guitar rockin’ “King of Rock N’Roll.” This was a fitting opener for them. We are excited to share the news with you that the guitarist extraordinaire, Nili Brosh will be playing this weekend with her new all-female Van Halen Tribute band, Unchained. Nili posted the news via her Facebook page here: Hey everyone! Lately my attention has been focused on something that finally warrants an announcement: I have a new band. It’s a Van Halen tribute band. It’s all-female. It’s called Unchained. NAMM 2016 was a wild one and was complete with amazing new gear, our favorite musicians and a lot of fun times. We were excited to see one of our favorite bassists, Justin Emord of Love and a .38. He was really busy this year and had a lot of new and exciting things to share with us. Love and a .38 are set to release their new album, Nomads on February 19th and I have to tell you, we got a sneak peek and were blown away! You are going to love it.
