Heaven’s Basement makes quite an impression on San Francisco!

October 15, 2013

Last month we told you how UK rockers Heaven’s Basement really stole the show at the Ernie Ball stage during the Aftershock Festival. You can read more about that here. Well this past weekend, Heaven’s Basement made their debut appearance in San Francisco at Slim’s where they were performing with The Pretty Reckless and Louna. The lineup alone was incredible as it had British, American and Russian bands touring together on the Going to Hell Tour and they really put on quite a show. Shortly before their set, we had the opportunity to interview Sid Glover and Aaron Buchanan as they told us about what other countries they look forward to touring next.  We are pleased to bring you the interview from Slim’s right here:   Heaven’s Basement truly has an incredible electrifying stage presence. Halestorm coming to San Francisco!

September 9, 2012

It is a great day today! I got my tickets to see one of my favorite bands, Halestorm at one of my favorite venues in San Francisco, Slim’s!! I just found out that Halestorm is returning to the San Francisco Bay Area. I am so glad because I have been trying to see Halestorm live for a few years now. First I was supposed to see them in SoCal and my trip got cancelled then they were coming to the Bay Area last year and that show got cancelled. The funny thing is that I have had the great opportunity of meeting them several times at other shows.  They are an awesome bunch of individuals! The first being when they played with Corey Taylor at his Las Vegas Hard Rock Show in 2010 and then again at his 2011 show. Then they came to San Francisco and I ended up in Las Vegas covering another show!! I was so mad.  We got to meet them again at the NAMM 2011 and NAMM 2012 shows and [Read More]

Slim’s which was opened in 1988 by legendary R & B Artist; Boz Scaggs and was right around the time that I was going to concerts on a 3 x week basis. Slim’s was my favorite place to see concerts since it would book big name acts but you would be able to see them in an intimate setting. I could remember that it was always a clean nightlcub with very good service at the bar as well as a balcony where you could order some “good eats” and kick back and watch a great show. It has been at least 10 years since my last visit to Slim’s and when I turned down 11th Street and saw the familiar neon Slim’s sign I was growing more excited to visit my old friend and wondered how [Read More]
