Defences share new song/video “Something More”

Defences return with the first reveal of new music since the release of their last EP “Thoughts That Keep You Awake” with the irresistibly anthemic new single “Something More”.

Recorded, Mixed & Mastered by Daniel Kerr (Our Hollow, Our Home/Shields/ Create To Inspire) at Avenue Studios, “Something More” is a powerful, self-reflective song about the internal anger and breaking through the fears of seeking help.

“Something More was written about the realisation that life changes you, sometimes without even realising it, and sometimes not for the better, but that’s okay. It’s about that realisation and acknowledgement, deciding to do something about it and starting to look at yourself” (Cherry Duesbury)

“Something More tackles the difficult subject of dealing with our own inhibitions in a constructive way. It’s all too easy to succumb to our own fears and anger but if we dig deeper and are honest with ourselves, we can often find the source of these feelings. Whether internally or reaching out to others for help, we can find new ways to deal with these struggles and this song highlights the need to do so” (William Young)
