San Francisco was treated to a night of straight up non-stop high energy rock and metal last night at The Regency Ballroom. The night kicked off with a fierce set by Jared James Nichols. We met up with Jared earlier this year at NAMM 2016 and we were so excited to finally catch them perform live. They kicked ass and a highlight was the amazing cover of Mississippi Queen by Mountain. Make sure to pick up their latest EP, Highwayman. Check out photos of their set:

Next up the crowd was treated to the passionate rock from Otherwise. These guys hit the stage and fired up the crowd. You can’t help but feel the passion they have for their music and you can tell that the stage is exactly where they belong. They have a great way of connecting with each and every fan in the audience. A highlight for me was to see them perform a very special personal song for them, Heaven which is in honor of Ivan Patrick. Here are some photos of the night:

The night was capped off by an absolutely stellar performance by Zakk Wylde.  He kicked off his set with Sold My Soul featuring a spectacular jaw dropping extended solo. We literally had to wipe the drool up from the floor! We were mesmerized by Zakk’s unbelievable and precision playing. Zakk treated us to songs off his must have new LP Book Of Shadows II.  If you don’t already have it, make sure to do yourself a big favor and pick it up TODAY! Here are photos of his set by our Rockin Ryan:

In case you missed it, check out Zakk’s recent video for Sleeping Dogs featuring Corey Taylor. Directed by long time collaborator Justin Reich, the video can be seen below.
