Band of the Day

Check out Colossal Street Jam for your fix of 70’s inspired melodic rock and roll

May 9, 2017

For our next Spotlight Band, we would like to feature a band that is bringing back the feel good rock of the 70’s. Colossal Street Jam from New Jersey have released an 11 track LP, Living Free that will have you hooked from the first listen. It is a great heaping dose of 70’s inspired classic rock, full of great melodies, infectious vocals and feel good rock vibes. They comment about their music, At the end of the day, no matter what is going on, we did this for us. In the old days, we did this to be famous, to make money, and to be rock stars. Now, we’re doing this for us, and I think that’s why it’s working and getting a great response.  Check out their video for their track, I Can’t Take It: Band Members: Gene Potts – Vocals Sal Marra – Guitar, Vocals & Fender Rhodes Tony Flora – Bass Dave Halpern – Drums & All Percussion Eric Safka – Hammond B3, Piano, Fender Rhodes You can pick up the new [Read More]

Red Sky Mary’s new video for Gone has you craving their live shows!

October 16, 2015

One of my favorite new bands, Red Sky Mary from New Hampshire has just released their new video for Gone. The video captures the passion that these guys bring to the stage for their live performances. Check out the new video here: We caught Red Sky Mary when they performed with Texas Hippie Coalition out on the Smokin Hot Tour at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco.  We made sure we we were not going to miss them. They blew us with their signature sound that fuses 70’s classic rock with modern hard rock and a flash of blues.  They have energy, charisma, smoking guitar riffs, and vocals that will have you in lust with them! In case you missed it, check out our chat with the band shortly before their set at the DNA Lounge: They rocked the crowd and played our favorites from their debut album, River Child which was released earlier this year on Carved Records. You can pick up their new album on iTunes here. Here are some photos by our [Read More]

They blew us with their signature sound that fuses 70’s classic rock with modern hard rock and a flash of blues.  They have energy, charisma, smoking guitar riffs, and vocals that will have you in lust with them! We had the chance to chat with the band shortly before their set at the DNA Lounge and you can check it out here:   They rocked the crowd and played our favorites from their debut album, River Child which was released earlier this year on Carved Records. I have an unbelievably awesome new band for you to check out. Hopefully, they are not new to you but they are new to me! So get ready, you might have to sit down to hear this one. Allow me to introduce you to Red Sky Mary from New Hampshire. These guys have a 70’s rock vibe and a sound that will just take over you. I swear, it was like listening to a long lost Led Zeppelin reel. They have energy, charisma, smoking guitar riffs, and vocals that will have you in lust with them!  How about you check out their song, South of The City here:   The band says about the new track,  “South of the City is about those nights where the party starts a little too early and ends a lot too late. It’s about paying our dues on the road, the ups and downs, blown van tires, gigs every weekend. It is a reminder to our fans and our selves that the Rock and Roll Promiseland begins in your [Read More]
