Silverstein celebrate their 20 year anniversary live in Munich at the Backstage

February 16, 2020

The year 2000 didn’t only bring a new millennium, it was also the year the Canadian band Silverstein started their career. Fast forward to 2020, they celebrate their 20 year anniversary. No better way to do that, than tour and celebrate with the people that kept the band alive for two decades – the fans. Three out of the five dates have sold out pretty quick, the other two, Munich upon them, were pretty close to selling out. Judging by how packed the venue was, there couldn’t have been many tickets left for though.   For their European tour, they brought along Hawthorne Heights from Dayton, OH. They’re also around for 15 years by now and played in Germany several times. Naturally, they also drew their share of fans to the show.    Hawthorne Heights released their latest album ‘Lost Frequencies’ last November. Most songs the band played that night have actually been from their 2005 record ‘The Silence In Black And White’, like ‘Life On Stand-By’, ‘Niki FM’, ‘Ohio Is For Lovers’, ‘Silver Bullets’ [Read More]

The WHO announce 50th Anniversary Tour for 2015!

October 11, 2014

I can still remember a vivid memory of the first time I listened to The Who. I was a young kid in the 1970’s and I could hear the wailing guitar and fierce vocals of The Who coming from my older brother’s room. I was drawn to it as I got closer and closer to get more of my fix of my craving for Rock n Roll. My older sisters were busy playing the latest disco tunes and practicing their dance moves but that was no match to the fire that The Who ignited in me. I loved the raw intensity of their music and how it’s organic sound just spoke to me, a rebellious young child who refused to be my sister’s dance partner any more. I wanted….. ROCK N ROLL and The Who were there to welcome me with open arms! The Who are turning 50 years old and their music still grabs me every time I hear it, whether it be catching My Generation, or reminiscing as I listen to songs from [Read More]

Y & T celebrating 40 YEARS of Rockin The Planet!

April 10, 2014

One of my favorite rock bands of all time, Y&T is celebrating 40 years of Rockin The Planet. Maybe one of the reasons I have always loved them is that they were a local band from the Bay Area and I saw them perform maybe over 25 times.  Y & T started in Oakland, California and originally released their first couple albums under the name Yesterday & Today. Since 1974 they have released 18 albums, three greatest hits collections, plus a box set and have sold over 4 million albums. Long before Motley Crue, Guns n Roses, RATT, Metallica, there was Y&T and they are one of the founding rock bands that set the standard for many to rock! They have never stopped rockin the planet and there is no slowing down in sight for these guys. You can celebrate their 40 year anniversary by purchasing their “40” design tee which is available on their website here: http://store.meniketti.com/   Also make sure to catch them out on tour. Y&T promises to deliver a high energy powerful set [Read More]
