Billy Idol releases video for new single, Save Me Now

Billy Idol has just released a cinematic video for his song, Save Me Now which is off his latest album, Kings & Queens of the Underground. The clip follows a priest and a police officer on a wild ride set against the stark, desolate California landscape, accompanied by a leading lady entwined in the drama. In describing the video, Kirk said:  “I went for a concept which very much took the lyrics of ‘Save Me Now’ and turned them into a surreal story that I felt was as true to the very visual lyrics as possible. Billy Idol announces dates for a North American Tour!

Billy Idol is set to release his new album, “Kings & Queens of the Underground” on October 21st through Billy’s own record label, BFI. We have told you about how Billy Idol is set to release his new album, “Kings & Queens of the Underground in October through BFI.  Well, now I have even more great Billy Idol news. Billy is set to release his self written memoir “Dancing With Myself” on October 7th with Touchstone and Simon & Schuster UK. The book is bold, searingly candid and written by Billy himself. Billy recounts his life story from his transient childhood to becoming a punk pioneer and from being one of MTV’s first megastars and revealing never before told tales of the culture, sex, drugs and rock and roll that colored Idol’s experience through fame. Later this week, Billy is set to appear at the annual book publishing convention BookExpo America in New York and then he will be heading out on his summer tour. We look forward to October and to Billy adding US Tour Dates after they return from overseas! Billy Idol announces finalized title of new album to be released in October!

We have been hearing a lot of news about Billy Idol and his plans for a new album. In our recent post, Billy had mentioned the title as Return to Splendor but today we have a new tweet from Billy Idol as he announces the finalized title of the album.  The album is: “Kings & Queens of the Underground”     The album will be released on the BFI label.  We are very excited for the new album. Billy also did a photo shoot for the album and shared the following photo on whosay. Billy tweeted in March that he was finishing vocals on a couple of the tracks and it is nearing completion.
