Who needs coffee, when you have The Helmets high energy set to fuel your day at BottleRock

June 4, 2017

Once again BottleRock Napa had an endless supply of amazing musicians on four stages.  Whether you were tired or not on Sunday morning, you were ready to party when the festival was kicked off by a fierce set from The Helmets. The young group or rockers consists of Tye Trujillo on bass,  (12, son of Robert Trujillo of Metallica), Bastian Evans (12) on Guitar, Kai Neukermans (12) on drums, and Bryan Ferretti (13) on vocals. They came out with 150% and never wavered with the energy. It was like a instant punch of adrenaline as they rocked the main stage, playing their original tracks and covers that had the crowd singing along.   Check out the photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: We caught them perform last year and it is amazing to see how they have grown with their musical talent. They blew us away last year and they continue to raise the bar with an even better performance this year. The endless energy was flowing from the stage and infecting the [Read More]

TECH N9NE at UC Theatre in Berkeley. Contributed by Sean Liming

April 13, 2017

The “Strictly Strange” tour came to the UC Theatre this past Tuesday on 4/11/2017 and all the artists were putting their best performance for the crowd. The artist and management always supportive of their fans. The artists came out to the auditorium to talk and sign autographs after their shows. No matter how big they are, they are always nice and grateful to give back to their fans. I just wish other artist would do this rather than staying backstage and hidden from the general audience. Tech N9ne kicked off his “Strictly Strange” tour with 68 shows in 74 days!! With Tech N9ne’s new album recently released in April, he was sure to make his performance “Sriracha” hot!! Known for his spit firing rhyming lyrics from St. Louis Missouri, he was going to show you his good and bad side. Krizz Kaliko came on the stage to join Tech N9ne. With both artist on the stage, the crowd went crazy. After a couple of songs, Tech N9ne gave the stage to Krizz to perform his [Read More]

Concert review: Freedom Call, Eden’s Curse and Veonity. By Alex Bock

February 22, 2017

Munich, Backstage, Feb. 14th 2017 It was Valentine’s Day and a Tuesday. One might think, probably not the best evening for a live show. BUT…. German Power Metal band Freedom Call have made a stop in Munich during their ‘Master Of Light’ tour and their fans came. As to be expected they didn’t come alone. They brought two bands along on tour with them. First one to play that night were Veonity, a four piece from Vänersborg, Sweden. They started out in 2013 and released their first EP that same year. In early 2015 they released their first full length record, which was followed by their latest effort ‘Into The Void’ in 2016. Just like in Freedom Call their vocalist Sköld also plays guitar, which gives them a vibrant guitar sound. You should definitely check them out, when they come to town. Next on – Eden’s Curse. Based in Glasgow, UK, the members are a mixed bunch of five guys. Only the bassist and drummer are Scottish, their vocalist was born in Serbia, the [Read More]
