Wargasm teams up with Corey Taylor for new song, 70% Dead

July 12, 2024

Wargasm has teamed up with Corey Taylor on a ferocious new track, 70% Dead.  It is a killer track and is definitely one you will be adding to your playlist! Wargasm explained about how the team up came about:  “We were on the road in the USA with Corey. [WARGASM‘s] Sam [Matlock] ended up jumping on a mic with him during his set and we just felt like the voices sounded right together. It totally made sense to do something fresh with the three of us and well… you don’t ask, you don’t get Check out the new track here: We caught Wargasm last year at Aftershock Festival and were blown away with their set! Full on non-stop energy that kept the crowds moshing at 150%. Check out photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: Make sure to visit the social media sites and stay up to date on the latest news. Corey Taylor announces new EP and releases cover song

February 12, 2022

GRAMMY® Awards-winning singer/songwriter, actor, and New York Times-bestselling author Corey Taylor shared the details on his new EP ‘CMFB….Sides’, which will be released February 25th via Roadrunner Records. The EP can be pre-ordered on all streaming platforms. The first single, a cover of John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band’s “On The Dark Side” is available HERE. ‘CMFB…Sides’ includes nine unreleased b-sides, cover-versions of songs that inspired the band, acoustic versions, and live tracks. Besides “On The Dark Side”, Taylor reduced the 1981 classic “Lunatic Fringe” from Red Rider to an impressionable acoustic number, pimped “Got To Choose” from Kiss and ‘punked up’ “All This And More” by Dead Boys. Originally recorded for The Metallica Blacklist, the EP also includes Taylors cover version of “Holier Than Thou” from Metallicas “Black” album. Probably the most surprising track is Eddie Money’s “Shakin”. The EP also includes acoustic versions of “Kansas” and “Halfway Down” from Taylors debut album ‘CMFT’ from 2020 as well as a powerful live-medley of “Home” and Stone Sours “Come What(ever) May”-final “Zzyxz Rd”.   [Read More]

Corey Taylor treats fans to an eclectic acoustic set at That Metal Show Concert

July 29, 2014

We have been telling you about all the great sets at the first ever That Metal Show concert which was held at Thunder Valley Resort in Lincoln, CA last Friday. It was great seeing the hosts of VH1’s That Metal Show as they introduced all the great bands. Make sure to check out our coverage of Living Colour and  Anthrax too.  But now, let us tell you about the great eclectic set that Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) delivered. Corey played a little bit of everything during his acoustic set. First, I have to tell you about the blazing heat as it was well over 100 degrees and I can only imagine how hot it was on that stage. I have to give a big kudos to all the great bands as they put on spectacular performances. Corey was there in the heat and he gave his 125% as always treating the crowd to his captivating vocals. He played some Stone Sour, cover songs, even a Slipknot song! Check out the photos of Corey from his set at [Read More]
