Pistol Day Parade exceed all my expectations as they open for Ted Nugent on the Shut Up and Jam Tour!

July 16, 2014

We recently told you about the spectacular set that Ted Nugent put on for his Shut Up & Jam Tour this past weekend in Sunday. Now when you have such a excellent showman as Ted performing, not just any opening rock band will do. You need to have one that delivers an intense set and at 150% power overload.  Ted Nugent surely picked out the perfect band to open for him. One of our favorite rock bands, Pistol Day Parade was chosen for the opening slot on the tour. We made it out to the July 13th show at the Grove in Anaheim. Let me tell you, we were exhausted after the 7-1/2 hour drive but as soon as we made it to the venue, our spirits and energy picked right up. We had the opportunity to chat with Pistol Day Parade before their set. We are pleased to bring you that interview here: Shortly after our interview the guys made it to the stage and they kicked off the set with high energy. I have been [Read More]

Don’t miss Pistol Day Parade out on tour with Ted Nugent for the Shut Up & Jam Tour

May 30, 2014

One of our favorite rock bands, Pistol Day Parade will be out on tour with Ted Nugent for his Shut Up & Jam Tour. These guys are definitely going to bring a bad ass rock set to this tour. Their CD “Burn” which was released via Goomba Records and produced by Tim Patalan (Sponge, Lovedrum) is one of my favorites and I love their song, Rockstar’s Girlfriend. Hailing from Detroit are these hard working rockers who bleed out the passion through their music. Check out the dates below:   We are excited for the Anaheim tour date since we will be heading out there to cover the show. We will see if we can bring you an interview with them as well.  At NAMM this year we ran into into their bassist, Jason Lollio. Pistol Day Parade and were able to snag him for a question or two. Check it out here:   Make sure to head over and pick up your copy today from Goomba Music Store, Itunes or your local music retailer. You are going to [Read More]

Interview with Sydney of Detroit band, Stereo Jane

November 28, 2013

When you think of Detroit and music; you think of Motown and the starting point for so many artists! Berry Gordy’s Motown will historically have it’s place in music industry history.  Fast forward to today and Detroit is still delivering some of the freshest, most beautiful sounds to your ears. I recently introduced you to one of those fresh new sounds from Detroit, Stereo Jane. Stereo Jane features the energetic talent of young Detroit natives, 16 year old twins Sydney and Mia Schmier. Sidney is on vocals and  Mia is on drums. Also in their band is the talented trio of Joey Gaydos Jr. on lead guitar, Andrew Schachinger on keyboard and Randy Martin on Bass.  Together they are amazing and a force to be reckoned with. We had the opportunity to interview singer, Sydney Schmier and are pleased to bring that to you here: * * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Hi Sydney, Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press.  We love your music.
