Each brings their own unique edge to the table amplifying the intensity of every track. With singles like “OBSOLETE” with Coping Method, a brutal metalcore-dubstep crossover that defies convention; “Voices” featuring Micah Martin, a blistering anthem born from an electrifying one-day creative sprint; and “Dead By Dawn” with Daedric, where soaring cinematic grandeur meets punishing breakdowns. EDM-Metal icon HEAVYGRINDR releases new EP Setsuna

January 7, 2016

Metal-EDM icon HEAVYGRINDER, newly made up of DJ Heavygrinder and Nek0, has unleashed their most dynamic, and the most truly transgenre dance music EP to date, Setsuna, through ONFYR Records. HEAVYGRINDER is a duo based out of Los Angeles, California, consisting of world-famous DJ Heavygrinder (aka Bobbie) and her sidekick, Nek0. Their unique blend of metal, electronica and Japanese rock-pop — along with their stunning anime-inspired visual — sets them apart from anything else in the music industry today. Setsuna melds infectious electronic dance elements and fresh Jpop energy with the signature metal edge that has been the cornerstone of the DJ Heavygrinder sound since the very beginning. Palisades at Assembly Music Hall in Sacramento for the Not Your American Idols Tour

October 24, 2014

Earlier this week we braved the 3+ hour traffic to Sacramento and did get there in time to catch Palisades hit the stage at the Assembly Music Hall. This was our first time at the new Assembly, but it was great to see that it is under the same ownership/management as our fave Sacramento stop, Ace of Spades. The staff was exceptional and the venue set up is ideal for a crowd to feel the energy from the stage. Palisades definitely delivered on the energy! They got the crowd engaged and ready to rage. The intimate atmosphere really allowed for the crowd to feed off the artist’s vibe. There was no one left standing still when Palisades took the stage. Their music brings the perfect fusion of EDM and Post-hardcore an inviting style that appealed to all. One drawback is the extremely dark venue and the little to no lighting which even at 6400 iso, it was tough to catch any good shots. Check out the photos from their set: Palisades have a couple more [Read More]

Check out the remix of Zander Bleck Dirty Love Song by award winning remixers, Chomstars

June 18, 2014

With the fast rise or should I say comeback of EDM it is great to see the creative remixes that have been made. In the 90’s I spent many weekends in the nightclubs in San Francisco enjoying electronic dance music, just back then we called it ’90s!  Today, with the advances in music technology the remixers have set the bar higher and bring a whole new life to the music genre.   Award winning remix trio of Chomstars have taken their fresh Electro House stylings to dismantle and rebuild the Zander Bleck pop hit “Dirty Love Song”. Check it out here: For this remix we really wanted the instrumentation and arrangement to bolster the emotional impact of Zander’s powerful pop vocal. It’s more on the purely electro side than our upcoming Stargazing EP, but with some futuristic and creative twists.  – Chomstars The dynamic trio are also gearing up for the release of their “Stargazing” EP, a melodic, four track dance-floor destroyer featuring pulsating basslines and explosive drops, out 6/23/2014 on Audiophile Live. Check out Chomstars “Stargazing” Minimix here: Stay tuned for the release [Read More]
