Shinedown brings a fierce rock set to Santa Rosa

The Wells Fargo Event Center last Saturday night was definitely ROCKIN! Shinedown made a stop on their tour here in Santa Rosa and blew the roof off the Wells Fargo center. It was a full fledged rock show which doesn’t happen that often here in Santa Rosa, especially of the Shinedown caliber. The Virginmarys opened the night with their infectious punk edged rock set. It was great to see how this band that we fell in love with nearly a decade ago brought back “the feels” once again when they performed. The song is the first in three years from Shinedown and they have delivered a high energy fierce track that will have you fist pumping and singing along. This is definitely one song that will get you off your behind and take control of your life. What a bad ass song and I can’t wait for their new album! Shinedown has a new video out that I am completely in love with! The video is for “I’ll Follow You” and it seriously might be my all time favorite. Shinedown has consistently put out great new music and always follows it up with incredible videos. You can read about my review of their Amaryllis album in an older post here. In that previous post, I describe my impression of the song, “I’ll Follow You”: “I’ll Follow You” is a beautiful love song with great vocals right from the start. A true romantic ballad with that lighter in the air moment. . You feel the emotion of a “Freebird” moment along with a romantic ballad holding the one you love around the waist. Shinedown and the Band Meeting Gone Bad

If you are in a band you might be familiar with those band meetings that have gone wrong and how artistic differences come out and everyone is screaming to defend their own side. Well if you are not familiar with them, then Shinedown’s new video for their latest single “Enemies” gives you a glimpse in to the reality of a really bad band meeting. What is really great is that if you like Shinedown and know them well, this video is so far from the truth. These guys are like brothers and are very close to eachother. So it is nice to see how they get to “act out” in this video and really display their personalities especially the part with Zach taking pictures on his phone and the phone breaking. Classic Zach!
