Joel Poe set to star in LGBT themed film “Nobody’s Boy”

October 21, 2016

Singer/Songwriter Joel Poe has some exciting news to share with his fans.  He may have been away from social media for a while now, but it doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been busy.  You might be wondering about why he was so absent from social media and Joel explains to us, -I’ve been taking a break from anything serious lately. I’ve felt like I needed some time to get myself together after my last relationship. To rethink what I wanna do, not only as an artist but as a person.   So I’ve basically just been living one day at the time, hanging out with friends, playing video games, spending time with my family.  I’ve missed the feeling of just being me without having to worry about what people say or think. I’ve had a public life since a very early age as you may know. And it’s been so hard to balance my personal life with my public one. I passed him off as a fad and paid no attention to him for several years. Then my son Ryan when he was about 12 or so started playing his music on the rides to school. I was always open to all types of music but I remember driving him and his friends around and hearing the 12 year old girls singing loudly on a ride to a concert, “Sex, Sex, Sex and don’t forget the violence”. I wanted to ban him from playing the song! Then I would catch myself playing the song when I was on my long drives to the Bay Area. Darn, I started really liking that catchy tune…..
