Unforgettable Energy: La Femme at Regency Ballroom

November 26, 2024

La Femme  brought their electrifying energy to the San Francisco Regency Ballroom, delivering a night to remember. The evening kicked off with an eclectic and vibrant set by Sam Quealy, an Australian techno-pop princess who dazzled the crowd with her infectious energy and magnetic stage presence. Her performance set the perfect tone for the night, leaving the audience eager for more. As the venue quickly filled to capacity, the anticipation for La Femme’s set was palpable. La Femme, the French psych-punk rock band founded by guitarist Sacha Got and keyboardist Marlon Magnee in 2010, has built a reputation for their genre-defying sound and captivating performances. From the moment the seven-piece band took the stage, they commanded the audience’s attention with a spectacular and powerful sound that reverberated through the room. The energy on stage was matched only by the crowd’s enthusiasm. Each band member brought their own flair, stepping into the spotlight to showcase their immense talent. The performance was dynamic, with the spotlight shifting seamlessly between members, keeping the audience’s focus bouncing across the [Read More]

Back Garden Light, a band from France, that we recently introduced to you, released their debut EP called ‘Life’s A Game’ on June 10th. We checked it out for you. The EP starts off with a powerful intro that invites the listener to hold on tight as Back Garden Light takes them on a wild ride. The six song EP brings high energy tracks that blend pop punk with a heavier side of Metalcore. Their music can be described as a blend of Asking Alexandria meets Falling in Reverse, yet they have easily created their own signature style. Sideline is an upbeat track that highlights everything from vocal chants, heavy growls, aggressive guitar chugs, and everything for you to become addicted to the track. The EP can be ordered at http://backgardenlight.bigcartel.com/product/bgl-life-s-a-game-bundle-limited-30 But better be quick, because this is a limited [Read More]

Interview with BlackRain at NAMM 2015 and get ready for the new album!

February 17, 2015

One of our highlights from this year’s NAMM 2015 was unexpectedly running into French rockers, BlackRain. They are one of our favorite rock bands and to see them here in the US was exciting, even more so to learn about the new album and returning to the US for possible tour. Check out our quick chat with BlackRain:   You can also join in the making of the album by heading over to their PledgeMusic page here http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/blackrain and you can pick up some cool perks like the new album, CD, shirt, drum head from the recording even a guitar or drum lesson! The first time I heard BlackRain is when my son Rockin Ryan played Overloaded for me and I was instantly transformed back to my nights spent on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s. At first I thought I was listening to an old Motley Crue track!! Swan on vocals just blows you away with his powerful voice and he has perfected the high vocal ranges of the ’80s. They have some shredding guitar with [Read More]
