2nd-to-last day of the Free & Easy festival at the Backstage Munich and another big Hardcore act was taking over the Werk. Believe me, it was a sauna in there, but one with a special extra. Stick To Your Guns made a stop in Munich on their recent European run and as soon as they entered the stage (a little bit later than planned), there was absolute mayhem. I’ve never seen so many crowd-surfers during a show, while the room itself was cookin’. There were still around 26 degrees Celsius (about 78 Fahrenheit) outside, but it felt about twice as hot inside. Although the venue used air conditioning, it really didn’t feel that way. STYG didn’t play alone though, there was also Drover from Munich, Bethons from Italy and Protest The Hero from Canada, who did some warming up that night. Enjoy the pics and let us know if you’ve also been there. Also, make sure to check out the venue’s schedule, for there are some awesome shows announced for the next months. The Amity Affliction made the first stop during their European tour in Munich at the Free & Easy festival at the Backstage Munich. Entry is usually free at this festival, to make sure you get into the venue though, you’re advised to get a ticket which ensures you’re getting in. Those said tickets were sold out, so the venue was pretty packed. 33 Celsius (~ 90 F) outside, inside it was a sauna. Like every time, TAA crushed it. Since it’s the 10th-anniversary tour of “Let The Ocean Take Me” they played the record as a whole and added some classics like “Open Letter” and recent ones like “I See Dead People”. The other three bands that night – As Time Went By, Trust The Shark and Tenside – were a good addition. Tenside are a popular local band from Munich. They already do have a solid fanbase around here. Enjoy the photos from this amazing sweaty show and make sure to catch the bands live at a place near you. As Time Went By [Read More]
