They have cultivated a loyal legion of fans over the years, and it’s to those fans that the ladies of Hunter Valentine are announcing their indefinite hiatus. Day 2 of our 12 Days of Vocalists features Kiyomi Valentine of Hunter Valentine

December 16, 2014

Today for Day 2 of our 12 Days of Vocalists we would like to feature the amazingly talented Kiyomi Valentine of Hunter Valentine. This past summer many were first introduced to her sultry passionate vocals on the Make or Break: Linda Perry Project. Hunter Valentine, already  had a very dedicated fan base before the show, as they were already familiar with the incredible talent that Kiyomi carries, but it was great to see them showcased on the show and open up an entire new fan base. I, for one was not familiar with them. Believe me, I beat myself up over not knowing them sooner. They had such a great refreshing honest sound, and from the first time Kiyomi sang, I was hooked. Kiyomi‘s vocals truly bring out her passion for music as she sings, she literally bleeds out her emotions through her songs. I love how she can switch it up from fun, flirty, aggressive, sultry, powerful, vulnerable, happy to sad. She has an excellent range that delivers rich tones and colors in her voice.  As [Read More]

Hunter Valentine release video for Nowhere to Run to help STOMP Out Bullying!

October 3, 2014

October is Anti Bullying month where we try to bring attention and STOMP Out Bullying. Sadly, it was only two years ago this month where we brought you the tragic story of Amanda Todd’s suicide due to bullying. Many artists and musicians are doing what they can to raise awareness to bullying and help to eradicate it! One of my favorite new bands, Hunter Valentine have released a music video for their song, Nowhere to Run as they teamed together with STOMP Out Bullying in an effort to raise awareness this October. The video is stellar and the song is truly touching and provides hope to those who struggle or are facing any challenges. It is an amazing track and is soon to be one of my favorite songs on my playlist. Check out the video here: I hope you do your part this month in an effort to put an end to bullying. Reach out to someone who you think might need to talk or are battling with bullying. If you witness or see someone being bullied [Read More]

September 17, 2014

Like many others, I was first introduced to the music of Hunter Valentine through Linda Perry Project, Make Or Break on Vh1. From the first episode, I was enamored with their style and music. It was wonderful to watch them grown throughout the show and to hear their new song, Burn With It. Catch Hunter Valentine out on the Ladykillers Tour!

September 5, 2014

Like many others, I was first introduced to the music of Hunter Valentine through Linda Perry Project, Make Or Break on Vh1. From the first episode, I was enamored with their style and music. It was wonderful to watch them grown throughout the show and to hear their new song, Burn With It. They were definitely a band that I wanted to look further into and hopefully catch them live. When you watch them perform, they bring out such a raw yet electric energy that I have been craving. With the departure of Aimee during the show, Laura and Kiyomi are back and as fierce as ever. Their sexy power rock is ready to grab a hold of you and shake up your world. They are going to be setting out on the Ladykiller Tour with several dates announced so far. I am very much hoping that they will be adding more dates, preferably here on the West Coast. Yes, I being selfish, I just want to see Hunter Valentine and you should too! Check [Read More]

Check out the EP from Make or Break, The Linda Perry Project

September 5, 2014

If you have been like us, your Wednesdays were the highlight of the week to watch Make or Break The Linda Perry Project on Vh1. Whether you are a big fan of Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes), a musician, involved in the music industry, or simply tuned in to the show because it looked interesting, it was one of the best shows from this summer to watch. Linda not only took the viewer into her studios, but she took us on the musical journey of all the artists. It was great to watch her profound advice make such an impact on each and every one. Sometimes, you might have watched and wondered what she was really thinking… but then as time passed, each and every action was for the right reason. Linda not only helped the musicians with their music but she was also a source of self introspection, reflection, self awareness and healing, all the while giving the tools to each musician to grow and blossom into something magical. Now that the season is [Read More]
