January 31, 2025

L.S. Dunes release their sophomore album Violet via Fantasy Records. Frontmant Anthony Green shares, “The process of writing and recording this record took me someplace I’ve never been and showed me things I’ve never seen. There was a point where I was dead set on telling the story, but during the process of collaborating I started to realize that ‘Violet’ had taken all of us someplace different and showed us all different things and started to see something bigger than just my experience. “I will say that this record might be here to reflect back on whatever it is you go looking for in music because music is magic and magic is real. Music is magic.” Today they have released a music video for the new single Forgiveness. Travis Stever shares: “This is a song that lived in all of us for years. We had it in us way before we even knew each other. We could only bring it to life together. Each individual brings a certain element and strength to the song [Read More]

The single was produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Quicksand) and L.S. Dunes and recorded at Yip’s Studio 4 Recording in Philadelphia, PA. Check out the new track here: Vocalist Anthony Green comments, “The past life is gone and yet it never really was. “How Dare You” examines the mentality behind what you choose to grab as you’re running out of your burning house. Except the burning house is in the dirt underneath your dentist’s fingernails.    My parents had just sold the house I grew up in and I had just gotten sober again for the millionth time when I felt like what I imagine people say when they use the phrase “born again”. Even though I hadn’t lived there in years, I was still holding onto so much baggage and drama. I used to think my parents had an alarm system at that house connected to the police that would alert them in case [Read More]

June 23, 2023

L.S. Dunes vocalist Anthony Green, guitarist Frank Iero, bassist Tim Payne, guitarist Travis Stever, and drummer Tucker Rule unveil a dazzling new psyche-metal track Benadryl Subreddit. The track was produced by Alex Newport (Mars Volta, Frank Turner, City & Colour) and recorded at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, CA. About the track: Frank Iero: “Benadryl’s title comes from a conversation that Mikey Way (My Chemical Romance) and I were having one night on tour about sober guys finding out legal ways of getting high without doing actual drugs and messing with their sobriety. The music for this song came about when I knew we were going into the desert to record with Alex Newport at Rancho De La Luna. I had just received a new guitar in the mail from Ben Wasser at Guitarworks called the ‘Shaft’ and I got to thinking about the desert and what I thought that guitar should sound like in that setting. That riff came out immediately. “Benadryl Subreddit” represents the heat of the day out in the desert, sweating bullets and going fast.” Travis [Read More]

The fantastical trip was helmed by noted directed David Brodsky, (August Burns Red, Helmet, Cannibal Corpse), who previously worked with L.S. Dunes on the video for their first single, “Permanent Rebellion”.   Frank Iero comments about the video:  “I’ve always said that if I couldn’t be in a band the only other thing I would want to do is to make monster movies. It’s been my dream ever since I was a little, and it was the thing my dad and I bonded over. From an early age music and monsters is just something that went hand in hand for me. (Japanese film genre) Kaiju is something I have been fascinated by ever since I was a kid and [Read More]
