La Onda Fest brought the vibe to Napa

  It was year number 2 for La Onda Fest and it definitely brought the vibe and rich flavor to Napa as the Latin Festival delivered two days of music, food and entertainment. The festival featured two stages with nonstop music that had the crowds racing to each stage, to catch the next act.  The crowd also enjoyed the Lucha Libre matches throughout the day.  Food was plentiful and featured some of Sonoma’s favorites.  We wanted to bring you a gallery of some of  our La Onda highlights. Headlining the festival are Marco Antonio Solis, Banda MS and Pepe Aguilar on May 31, Carin León and Grupo Firme on June 1.   La Onda by BottleRock will offer the hottest Latin musical acts spanning several genres, including Regional Mexican and its various sub-genres, Latin pop, and more.   In addition to Marco Antonio Solis, Banda MS and Pepe Aguilar, the Saturday, May 31 lineup includes Xavi, Tito Double P, Yuridia, Chino Pacas, La Receta, Camila Fernández, Los Aptos, Sonora Tropicana, MAR, Edgar Alejandro and Christian Nava.   In addition to Carin León and Grupo Firme, the Sunday, June 1 lineup includes Eden Muñoz, Codiciado, Oscar Maydon, Ángela Aguilar, Clave Especial, Alicia Villarreal, Michelle Maciel, Reyna Tropical, Miguel Cornejo, Erre, Los De La 4, Adriana Ríos and Ysrael Barajas.   DJs for the weekend include Subelo Neo, Caleb Calloway, Mexican Institute of Sound, Cornetto, DJ Lico, Rayben  and Bonnz. Reggaetón star Farruko brings the energy to La Onda Festival

Reggaetón star Farruko delivered an electrifying set at the inaugural La Onda Festival this past weekend.  The crowd grew as he was about to hit the main La Onda stage.  From the second Farruko hit the stage, it was as if a jolt of adrenaline ran through the crowd.  Everyone was jumping, singing and completely energized. Junior H gets the crowd dancing at La Onda Festival

The first ever Latin music festival La Onda brought large crowds to a wide array of genres.  Mexican singer songwriter Junior H which is one of the top artists of the corridos tumbados movement, which blends old and iconic music of Northern Mexico and hip hop. The crowd grew to thousands as Junior H hit the stage and from the first note to the last, they were dancing and partying.  Check out photos of his set by our Rockin Ryan:

Allison rocked the main stage at La Onda Festival

Allison is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City, Mexico that formed in 2002.  They played the main stage at the La Onda Festival this past weekend and brought a true rock n roll set to the festival.  Some of you might recall catching Allison back on Vans Warped Tour in 2007/2008 and they were praised for their high energy.  Fast forward nearly a couple decades and they are still delivering a fiercely energetic set. They even had an incredible mosh pit! Some could compare them to a Latin Blink 182 or Fall Out Boy.  Even if you don’ understand the language, their infectious melodies, smoking guitars, and powerful vocals will captivate you from the first note. The band’s energy is electrifying, and their ability to communicate emotions and stories through their music alone.  Despite the language barrier, their passion and talent shine through.
