Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show chats with Music Junkie Press about this week’s episode and more!

March 7, 2014

Today we had the chance to chat with Eddie Trunk, host of That Metal Show. Eddie has been one of my true idols, when it comes to his love for his music and the passion to share it with everyone.  Eddie has had quite a successful career in broadcasting with his Eddie Trunk Rocks, Eddie Trunk Rocks, etc.  It was great when he finally stepped in front of the camera for VH1 Classics That Metal Show in 2002. Today That Metal Show is in it’s 13th season and is a favored show by all. Last year we told you about how I went down to Los Angeles for the taping of two episodes from last year’s season and this year. It was fun to watch the behind the scenes of the show and everyone has so much fun. The energy and fun times definitely are shared by all, on and off camera. Truly a great bunch of guys. This week on That Metal Show legendary Mick Mars of Motley Crue will be the on-set guest [Read More]

Motley Crue announces FINAL Tour with Alice Cooper. “ALL BAD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END”

January 28, 2014

Today Motley Crue held a press conference in Hollywood at Beacher’s Madhouse Theater to release as they said, “The Biggest Announcement of Their Career”. Last week during the NAMM convention, we had received the confirmation that Alice Cooper was going to be on their Farewell Tour but of course, since it was all “off the record” we respectfully held back on our reports.  Eddie Trunk (That Metal Show) did tweet a photo earlier this month that was to be the ad for the FINAL Tour. The tweet has since been deleted and it was later described as a mock up of a rumor, but here is the photo: MÖTLEY CRÜE will kick off their 72 date tour of North America on July 2nd. In addition to tickets being as inexpensive as $15 or $20 so they can insure that everyone gets a chance to see this FINAL TOUR, they will also have a variety of VIP Packages, including Meet & Greets and are available at www.motleyvip.com.   Check out the dates that are listed below: Jul [Read More]

Denmark’s Cold Black releases killer new video!

November 12, 2013

Last year I told you about a great Heavy Hard Rock band, Cold Black. You can read more about them here. I described them as “having a great heavy sound that reminds me of  some of my favorite bands, like Asking Alexandria blended with Black Veil Brides and a touch of Motley Crue old school style!”. They have just released a new video for their song, “These Lips Will Go Blue” and it is BAD ASS all the way!!! They have also added Jeff Polson for bass which Victor Rimpler  was handling before with his KILLER vocals. Then you have Alex Rimpler and Martin Dupoint on guitars and Jamal Aaron Gordon on drums.Check out the video here:   The new song is off of their upcoming EP “In Motion” which is set for a December 15th release on Itunes. The new video deo which is produced by Tony Gammalo at Spider Studios, Olmsted Falls, Ohio. I love Cold Black and so wish they would come out here to California. We need more of their music.  So make [Read More]

Tommy Lee: What the F**k is Wrong with you?

May 6, 2013

This past weekend 80’s rockers, Motley Crue had a surprise visit from an unruly fan which left Mick Mars on the floor. At their May 4th show in Saskatchewan, Canada shortly after playing their hit, “Primal Scream” a crazed fan jumped up on stage, knocking down Mick Mars and lunging at Vince Neil.  What is so concerning is that Mick suffers from a very  painful degenerative condition called ankylosing spondylitis (AS) that he has to deal with on a daily basis with the severe chronic pain and stiffness.  To top it off, this happened all on his 62nd birthday! What kind of gift is that you mother trucker – eh? Shortly after the fan rushed to Vince Neil security swiftly took him down and the band members quickly ran to check on Mick Mars.  Bassist and Bad ASS Nikki Sixx even gives the crazed fan a gift of his own! A large bootmark to Kickstart his head!! Just like the lyrics of Primal Scream: “When I was just a young boy Had to take a little [Read More]

Denmark dishes up some some Cold Black for great Hard Rock!

September 11, 2012

I have been listening lately to some great Heavy Hard Rock by the Danish Band, Cold Black. I discovered them a few weeks ago and have been anxiously waiting for their EP which is just released. They have a great heavy sound that reminds me of  some of my favorite bands, like Asking Alexandria blended with Black Veil Brides and a touch of Motley Crue old school style! Leave it to the Danish to give us some new awesome hard hitting rock as we continue to thank them for the great gift of Lars Ulrich. So coming from their hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark; Cold Black is Victor “Terry” Rimpler on Vocals and Bass, Alex Rimpler and Martin “Sane” Dupont on guitars and Jamal Aaron Gordon on drums. They have just released their new video which is produced by Torben Packert, and has Patrick Dræby Ravn on cameras/editing along with Production by Tobias Wiig Jørgensen, Lucas Haim & Pernille Bitsch and the assistance of Patrick Schouw & Anders Elgaard. Victor blends his charismatic chorus with his awesome hard hitting [Read More]
