One of our biggest highlights of our Aftershock Festival coverage was checking out the set of New Medicine. They were incredible and literally took over the crowd with their energy. With the recent release of their new album, Breaking The Model they have been garnering a lot of well deserved high praise for breathing fresh new life into the rock n roll scene. Their unique signature style truly shines on this album and is a fusion of a variety of musical influences. One thing is certain, they are letting everyone know that Rock n Roll is not DEAD! We have been anxiously awaiting new music from New Medicine and were so excited with the release of their bad ass new track, One Too Many. Now you can check out their newly released music video for it here: I love this track! It has a cool chorus amid chant style vocals and gives you that anthemic feel to it that will invigorate you. Their new album, Breaking The Model was released on August 25th via Imagen Records. The album is one of our favorites and we have it in our regular playlist rotation. New Medicine is our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day

We are excited to feature once again New Medicine as our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day. They have been hard at work with their new album, Breaking the Model and it is getting closer to the release date of August 25th via Imagen Records. Breaking the Model was produced by Kevin Kaddish (Skillet, OAR) and is the follow up to one of my favorite must have CDs, Race You To The Bottom. They recently released their lyric video for their new single off the album, One Too Many. Singer Jake Scherer explains more about the song, “The song is about excessiveness. Everybody is guilty of that — whether it’s drinking or something else. We all hit the point where we say, ‘Now, I probably shouldn’t have this one more, but I’ll do it anyway!’ That’s the fun part of life. You never know unless you go too far. Today we are featuring New Medicine as our featured band from this year’s Aftershock Festival lineup. We are so excited to catch them perform in Sacramento this September and they will also be performing on this year’s Uproar Festival. Matt Brady wants you to take a few risks, surprise yourself, most of all be good to people

As many of you know, Matt Brady from New Medicine left the band in December 2012 to move to Ghana, West Africa and work with the Joy 2 the World foundation which empowers women entrepreneurs in Africa through microloans.
