New Years Day are currently out on tour with Crown The Empire and their Renegade Tour. The tour kicked off on November 1st and will wrap up on December 4th in Dallas, Texas. The tour is presented by Hot Topic and also includes sets by Blessthefall, Too Close To Touch and Light Up The Sky. New Years Day are out on tour in support of their highly praised album, Malevolence. New Years Day is gearing up to embark out on the Retrograde Tour with Crown the Empire and Blessthefall. The tour will kick off tomorrow at the Nile Theater in Phoenix, AZ. They are touring in support of their highly praised album, Malevolence. The album bleeds such honesty in the lyrics and provides the perfect outlet for anyone to break away from the confines of their insecurity, self doubt, darkness and anger. It is like the music that blares through a dark tunnel just as you see the light at the end, and know things will get better. Check the tour dates and make sure to get yourself to a show! Concert review: New Years Day with Down To Date in Munich. Review by Alex Bock

June 21, 2016

Munich, Backstage Club, June 8th, 2016 Just a few months after playing as an opener for Escape The Fate, New Years Day came back to Germany for their first headliner tour. That also led them to Munich. The Backstage, which is a bigger area with various different sized venues, was really quiet that night, because the only venue open was the club, which is the smallest of the main venues there. A good part of the audience that night was there on a special occasion. It was a school class with three teachers. They went to the show as part of a school project. If only I had a teacher like that in my school years…. Unfortunately, New Years Day didn’t have time to spend with the class, but Down To Date took time after their set to hang out with them for about half an hour. Pretty sure a special moment. Down To Date is a pop-punk/hardcore band from Berlin. They were the only opening band that night. They had the crowd [Read More]

Concert Review: Escape The Fate, New Years Day, Fearless Vampire Killers, Like A Storm

February 12, 2016

Concert Review, Munich, Strom, Feb. 4th, 2016 by Alex Bock, https://twitter.com/abphotomjp   Last Thursday we had ‘Weiberfasching’ in Munich. It’s part of the final days of the carnival season, where women are officially on the hunt for men’s ties, to cut them off the necks of their owners. No problem for the show that night, because fortunalety I was attending a Rock show, not an office party nor a carnival ball. When I saw the concert announcement a while ago and the support bands that where added over time, I thought, wow, what an event. Four awesome band in one night. The club they played, oftentimes starts shows at 9.30 pm, which is pretty late, considering they have to be over by midnight for youth protection reasons. Fortunately, the promoter also thought that this might end up in a race against time, so they changed doors and show-start time to 8.30 pm, which kinda worked out fine. Like A Storm hit the stage at around 8.40 pm, so a decent amount of people was already inside. [Read More]
