Today’s Mixtape Festival announces lineup

  We recently brought you the news that The MovieLife will return to Long Island after 13 long years to headline the Today’s Mixtape Festival in August. Today Today’s Mixtape Festival has announced its full lineup for this year’s two-day event, taking place Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th at The Emporium in Patchogue, NY. Today’s Mixtape Festival will feature sets by Every Time I Die, Real Friends, State Champs, Incendiary, Iron Chic, Counterparts, A Loss For Words, On Broken Wings, Suburban Scum, Giants At Large, Gates, Knocked Loose, Gnarwolves, Brigades, Gatherer, and Commonwealth. The festival will simultaneously mark The Movielife’s first Long Island show in over 13 years, as well as A Loss For Word’s final performance in Long Island.Andrew W.K. will also be performing at the official festival after party on Saturday night. The MovieLife set to headline Today’s Mixtape Festival in New York in August

The MovieLife will return to Long Island after 13 long years to headline the Today’s Mixtape Festival in August. The two day event will take place August 15th and 16th at The Emporium in Patchogue, NY. Early Bird weekend passes are now available and can be purchased here: http://ticketf.ly/1GNis6G. 12/13 year old Metal band, Unlocking The Truth set to perform at Heavy Metal Montreal Festival

    It has been quite a year so far for the young metal band, Unlocking the Truth. The band with young members of 12/13 years old have been taking the metal scene by surprise and everyone has been talking about them. They were the youngest band to ever perform at this year’s Coachella Festival. Not only that, but many considered them to be the highlight of the festival. The young band Unlocking The Truth are from Brooklyn, New York. At the young ages of twelve and thirteen these three kids are skilled musicians and have everyone taking notice of their exceptional talent. Unlocking The Truth are currently scheduled to open once again for Guns n Roses this weekend at their Las Vegas Hard Rock Residency. They are then scheduled for several more dates and festivals to include Heavy Montreal Festival on August 9th which will include headliners Slayer and Metallica. Let me introduce you to  Traedonya. Traedonya was raised in New York City and she surrounded herself with all kinds of music from Hip Hop, Funk and Rock. She truly is a lover of a variety of music and with those influences has created her own unique sound.   Traedonya has been dubbed the ‘The Bride of New Funk Hipopera” and she surely lives up to that title with her fusion of  hip hop, jazz, and her vocal range. Traedonya has launched her pre-orders for her new EP, “High Fructose Corn Syrup” through a PledgeMusic campaign. Pre-Teen Metal band, Unlocking The Truth takes over Coachella as the youngest band to appear at festival

  Coachella Festival was treated to an amazing performance by the pre-teen metal band, Unlocking The Truth from Brooklyn, New York. At the young ages of twelve and thirteen these three kids are skilled musicians and have everyone taking notice of their exceptional talent. Unlocking The Truth were one of the inaugural performances on the main stage Saturday and their explosive live set generated a massive circle pit and left the crowd crying out for more.  Of their set The Los Angeles Times declared, “Playing a hard distorted blend of metal, speed punk and alternative rock on the main stage, they were as well-practiced as units three times their age” while Buzz Bands LA avowed that the band “overpowered an ever-growing mass of moshing festival-goers with the heaviest metal in Indio this side of Motorhead…Malcolm Brickhouse, Jarad Dawkins and Alec Atkins play their instruments better than most bands on the bill…” I can only imagine what the future has in store for this young metal band that write and create their own lyrics and music. Let me introduce you to  Traedonya. Traedonya was raised in New York City and she surrounded herself with all kinds of music from Hip Hop, Funk and Rock.
