Station release music video for One and Only

May 19, 2016

Station have just released their new music video for their bad ass track, One and Only. The music video was directed by Adam Gendler and features  Jennifer Leah Gottlieb of That Metal Show! Check it out here: Chris Lane comments about One and Only in his Track by Track guide of their debut album, Pat and I wrote this song one night around me saying “oh oh” over and over. Part of me thinks he said, “lets work on that” just to shut me up. When we wrote it, we immediately saw a way to work this into our set to add a different feel. Pat immediately came up with this feel on the drums that was very different than any of our other songs. We brought it to rehearsal and had such a great time with it. One of the things we really enjoy about this song is that we can use it to really take our time on stage. We can jam on it, play with the crowd or just play it straight. It’s [Read More]

Station release music video for their epic rock ballad, With Me Tonight

May 20, 2015

Station are gearing up for their performance at this year’s Rocklahoma and they have just released a new music video for you. The video is for their epic ballad, With You Tonight. Check it out here: Chris Lane comments about With Me Tonight in his Track by Track guide of their debut album, This song was written in about 3 minutes sitting on the floor of my apartment. It’s really just about second chances and knowing what to do with them. I feel like a lot of times what I want is in conflict with that I think is best for me. That’s what this song is about. The funny thing about this song is that it was actually written about two weeks before we got in the studio and we had already picked out which songs we were going to record. We all decided this song definitely had to be on the first record. This was my absolute favorite song to hear come to life with the vocals. I love the harmonies. Make sure [Read More]

Just last week one of our favorite rock bands, Station released their self titled debut album which was recorded at The Music Refinery. These bad ass rockers released a complete 15 song rock album that will deliver a full dose of rock n roll to infect your soul. We featured Station last year as one of our highlighted bands of Rocklahoma. You can check out our interview with them and that post here: Station – Our Rocklahoma Featured band. Their new album makes the statement that Rock n Roll is far from being dead. With these dedicated rockers at the helm, there is no letting rock die. With engaging vocals, kick ass guitar riffs, 80’s over the top energy, this album will soon become the playlist of your life. It will not only have us middle agers reflecting back on our love of the 80’s but with its modern flair, the younger generation fall in love with it as well. Station – our featured band from Rocklahoma lineup not to be missed!

May 23, 2013

Station I told you about Station last week and as promised, here is our interview with Pat. Take a read and you can get to know more about this incredible Rock Band from New York. Also included below is our original post on them! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Music Junkie Press:  How did Station form? Pat:  Station formed in September of 2010 when I met our guitarist Chris. We found each other through the NY music scene and set up a jam session/audition with each other. From that moment on, Chris and I have been working together. * * * * * Music Junkie Press: Who does the writing or is it a collaborative effort? Pat: There is no set way we write. Sometimes it’s one of us with an idea or a group effort. Either way, once we start fleshing out the song, it takes on a life of it’s own that truly makes it sound like Station. Check out some new Rock and Roll with Station from New York!

May 16, 2013

Station We have another great rock band from the Rocklahoma lineup to tell you about. They are Station, and even though they sound like they are right off the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, to my surprise they are from New York.  You have Patrick Kearney on Vocals, Chris Lane on guitar, Mike Anderson on Bass and Brian Karl on Drums. I just got their CD “Wired” in the other day after returning from the craziness of Golden Gods Awards/That Metal Show, etc so I was glad to be back and looking forward to  new music.  First, when I opened the envelope, I pulled out the CD and really liked the Cover. It is simple but just screams ROCK.  Secondly, I opened it up to see some pictures of the guys and shots of them at live shows. These guys definitely have a great rock look to them and I was really excited to continue on as I  popped in the CD, hoping they wouldn’t disappoint. Then, right off the start is their first song, “Everything” [Read More]
