February 14, 2019

We would like to introduce you to another amazing hard working artist that has been affected by the PledgeMusic fiasco. Interview with BlackRain at NAMM 2015 and get ready for the new album!

February 17, 2015

One of our highlights from this year’s NAMM 2015 was unexpectedly running into French rockers, BlackRain. They are one of our favorite rock bands and to see them here in the US was exciting, even more so to learn about the new album and returning to the US for possible tour. Check out our quick chat with BlackRain:   You can also join in the making of the album by heading over to their PledgeMusic page here http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/blackrain and you can pick up some cool perks like the new album, CD, shirt, drum head from the recording even a guitar or drum lesson! The first time I heard BlackRain is when my son Rockin Ryan played Overloaded for me and I was instantly transformed back to my nights spent on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s. At first I thought I was listening to an old Motley Crue track!! Swan on vocals just blows you away with his powerful voice and he has perfected the high vocal ranges of the ’80s. They have some shredding guitar with [Read More]

Blue October SWAY concert review by guest contributor by Mark Iman

November 19, 2014

by Guest Contributor Mark Iman, MarkImanConcertReview.blogspot.com November 12, 2014 kicked off the final installment of touring for Blue October’s most recent album, SWAY, at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. Starting the evening off was Harvard Of The South, a side project created by Blue Octobers Justin Furstenfeld, Matt Noveskey, Jeremy Furstenfeld and longtime collaborator and friend Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells and Longwave.  The band recently released a 5 song EP titled Miracle and is currently available at the shows. I made sure to grab my copy and have a hard time switching to anything else. It has a great old school grunge feel only with less teenage angst.  As I heard someone in the crowd state “Imagine if Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins had an illegitimate love child, this would be it.” Being that all the bands listed are a staple in music history I see no better way to compliment them and look forward to hearing more music in the future. The show started with a brief video telling everyone about the [Read More]
