AM TAXI’s new album, Shiver By Me, is sure to warm you up!

January 30, 2019

With the arrival of the Polar Vortex, it has sent extreme frigid conditions across America. Hopefully those affected are curled up at home. If so, we have the perfect album to warm you up! AM Taxi have just released their new album, Shiver By Me and it is spectacular from start to finish. It delivers exactly what we have been craving; their infectious blend of punk rock that is sure to rejuvenate your spirit. We were first introduced to AM Taxi and were mesmerized by their performance at Slim’s in San Francisco opening for The Spill Canvas. With the release of their new album, we can proclaim that we are just as hooked as that first night. They have returned with a sound that is addictive in every sense of the word.   Check out one of our fave tracks, Harpoon, that just screams that addictive AM Taxi sound: As many bands come and go experimenting or changing their style and sound to become unrecognizable, and more seem to stray from what everyone loves. Not AM Taxi. [Read More]

NEW MUSIC: AM TAXI release new song off their new album, Shiver By Me

January 3, 2019

It was nearly 9 years ago when we were first introduced to AM Taxi and were mesmerized by their performance at Slim’s in San Francisco opening for The Spill Canvas. Allow me to take you back that special show: Prior to starting it seemed that not many people were familiar with their music and were just waiting for the Spill Canvas to go onstage. Most of the audience was just mulling around the long L-shaped bar and mingling. As soon as AM TAXI peformed the first song; it was apparent that they were well received. People began to go to the stage and it was soon deep with people and all their attention was on AM TAXI. It was as if they knew they were watching a band that was soon going to be very well known and they didn’t want to miss any of it. Their energy was infectious and the crowd was soon moving around to their eclectic songs. By the time they played “Fed Up” it seemed everyone was glued to them. [Read More]

I was home from work because my stupid ass fell off a container and broke my wrist in two places. Since I had six metal pieces screwed into my arm I had to record everything on a midi keyboard, one note at a time. I was really not happy with the song, so I decided not to show it to the others. Eventually they made me play it to them and we decided to give it a go. Now it’s actually one of my favorites!” Lead vocalist / guitarist [Read More]

New Jersey Punk rockers SophistipunX are premiering their new EP, A Common Thread.  The band are in the  process of making their first music video for the single “Locked Down” and we will make sure to bring it to you when it’s released.  You can pick up or take a listen to the EP by heading over to: http://sophistipunx.bandcamp.com/album/a-common-thread About the band: June 8, 2013 may one day be considered a day that will live in infamy – it is the day that Dan and Paul met for the first time and the initial seeds for the idea of what would one day become SophistiPunX were planted. After being introduced to one another through a mutual friend – the singer of Dan’s band at the time (Knuckle Sandwich) – they quickly realized that they shared a mutual love of 90’s style fast punk (Bad Religion, Lagwagon, No Use for Name, Pennywise etc.) Paul missed playing music, but after a nearly ten year stint in his previous band (Stick Figure Suicide) he wasn’t sure he wanted to [Read More]
