Fozzy takes over the DNA Lounge in San Francisco

October 7, 2013

Heavy Metal Rockers, FOZZY have been touring with legendary Saxon and last night they had a stop here in San  Francisco at the DNA Lounge. This was the first time that FOZZY has made a San Francisco  appearance and they truly showed us what we have been missing!  They put on an incredible show. These five guys just have adrenaline running through their veins from the moment they step out on to that stage and give us 150% of what they got. We were excited to see them play, since back in August, we had the opportunity to talk with Chris Jericho about the Sacrifice and Sin tour. You can read the entire interview below or check it out here. We got there just in time to catch Halcyon Way as they got the crowd warmed up and ready to ROCK. We will tell you more about them under a separate post.  Then FOZZY started their set with my favorite song, “Spider in My Mouth” and that is the perfect song to get the crowd pumped. [Read More]

Hell or Highwater is the band to keep your eye on!

October 3, 2013

I love it when a band that I have loved takes themselves to a new level and just has everyone talking about them. That band for me is Hell or Highwater. I first saw this band back in 2011 at (I think) Uproar at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View.  I just remember we were there to see Art of Dying and after their set, we walked away and heard the first few chords of them and turned around and made our way to the front! They just held us captive with their incredible Hard Rock. Fast forward a few short years and we have been listening to them ever since. Then Aftershock Festival came and they were on the Monster main stage and just took over the place. They have the most incredible energy when they perform and you can’t help but be mesmerized by them!!!! They blew the place away when they performed “Gimme Love”. You can check out a tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together to that song which includes his [Read More]

State Line Empire releases new EP Raise Your Sins

September 30, 2013

I love new releases of music. What really gets me excited is when I have a band that I found just by them being an opening act for a headliner and have them become one of my favorite bands. It is the excitement that I get when I got to a show and not know anything about the opening bands and then be treated to a true gem of music. That is what happened several years ago as I watched State Line Empire open up for Steven Adler’s then titled band, Adler’s Appetite at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco. State Line Empire quickly became one of our family’s favorite bands with hits like   and . They just had everything we were looking for in rock and roll with a  hint of metal strewn right in. Fast forward to today and I have to share their new release with you. It is awesome! Sometimes bands come out with a new EP trying to re-invent themselves or just giving you a cookie cutter of [Read More]
