GRETA VAN FLEET delivers stellar performance in Sacramento on final Dreams In Gold tour

March 30, 2023

One thing is certain Greta Van Fleet holds a special place for us.  Their music back in 2017 was not only the soundtrack to our tumultuous ups and downs but it was what provided healing for us as we lost our home and business during the Santa Rosa 2017 Wildfires.  We have enjoyed the journey and growth through their music in the past several years and with the new songs, they have continued to grow in every way. We recently caught Greta Van Fleet in Sacramento at the Golden1 Center for their final performance on the Dreams in Gold (DIG) tour.  It was an epic show that not only was the perfect way to close out the DIG era, but ushered us in to the next phase of their musical journey. The show kicked off with a killer set by one of our faves, two-time Grammy nominated band,  The Rival Sons.  The crowd rocked out to their energetic set and they treated them to a performance of their new song, Rapture which is off [Read More]

Thrice share new single “Open Your Eyes And Dream”

September 20, 2022

California rock band Thrice released their latest single “Open Your Eyes And Dream” via Epitaph Records. Check it out: Frontman Dustin Kensrue about the new song: “It’s so very easy to believe that big systemic issues can’t change because we’ve lived with them our whole lives. But if you look back and zoom out a bit, it’s easy to see that this feeling of permeance and inevitability is just an illusion. Most things seem impossible until they happen. This song is about opening our eyes to that reality, and being willing to dream something better into existence.” Thrice will be out on a co-headliner tour with Coheed and Cambria in the UK and Europe in October. August 19, 2022

Alt rockers Bluphoria are making their major label debut with the new single, Set Me Up. The song is the first sampling of Bluphoria’s forthcoming self-titled album, due out in 2023 on Edgeout Records. The band worked with GRAMMY® award-winning producer Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Imagine Dragons, P!NK, Mt. Joy) at East Iris Studios in Berry Hill, as well as Needham’s personal Nashville studio. The high energy alternative rock song with blues and psych-rock influences that satisfyingly takes the listener on a journey from anger into a cathartic dance party.  Reign LaFreniere (lead vocals, lead guitar) comments about the track, “‘Set Me Up’ was one of those surprising songs that didn’t take long to write.  From the Stones-esque beats to the catchy breaks we hope y’all enjoy this song as much as we do!” Adds Needham, “I loved working on this song (“Set Me Up”) with Bluphoria. They are a great young band with instinctive pop sensibilities combined with a cool edginess and rawness that make the song sound like a car driving almost out of control!” [Read More]

Puppy release music video for “…And Watched It Glow”

February 15, 2022

London rock band, PUPPY, have released the official music video for their new song “…And Watched It Glow”. The song is taken from the band’s upcoming new album “Pure Evil”, which will be released on May 6th through Rude Records. The song had its world premiere on Radio 1 with the Rock Show and is the third single to be released from the new album, following “Angel” and “The Kiss”, the latter picking up plays with Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Clara Amfo, as well as being listed by Revolver Magazine as a track of the week. “Pure Evil” is an album created, like so much music and art the last few years, from a forced upon circumstance. Whilst obviously not influencing any of it in any way, the current pandemic has certainly created a specific path for PUPPY and this brilliant album, for good and bad. Vocalist and guitarist Jock Norton explains a bit about marrying creative drive with a global health meltdown, “We had to dig fairly deep to find the purpose in [Read More]

Modern Error release debut album “Victim Of A Modern Age”

January 22, 2022

#NEWRELEASEFRIDAY had a special treat this week – Modern Error released their debut record “Victim Of A Modern Age”. To celebrate the fact, twin brothers Zak and Kel Pinchin, also shared the video for “Only One”. “I get caught in cycles thinking if I’m ever in the place I should be, who I should be, if I’m doing right by life or if anyone is at all” says Zak Pinchin. “I think that kind of existential dread might fill a lot of peoples minds in this modern way of living. ‘Only One’ was written around the idea of reflection, seeing yourself and the world for what it truly is and becoming one with it, in order to evoke a positive change. Conceptually as part of ‘Victim Of A Modern Age’, its reflection and realisation of the state of the world”. It is a truth universally acknowledged: life is about balance. The duality of light and shade; the interior and the exterior; the social and the personal. Thesis, anthesis, and, perhaps, eventual synthesis. For twin brothers [Read More]

Moodring release brand new single/video for “Disintegrate”

January 20, 2022

Moodring have kicked off their 2022 in style by unveiling a brand new single – the soaring mini-epic, Disintegrate. Almost one year to the day since the Florida quartet revealed themselves to the world with debut single “Show Me The Real You“, “Disintegrate” marks the first new Moodring music recorded since their signing to UNFD, and showcases an ascendance to the next plane of their songcraft. Shimmering guitars swirl, shift and pulse around lead vocalist Hunter Young’s ethereal yet impassioned melodies, building to a climax that will raise every hair of anyone with a heartbeat. “The sound of Moodring derives from an eclectic mix of genres, but it’s when we can contrast these differences within one song that we really thrive, and I think this track is a key example of that” says Hunter; “On the surface the song is this beautiful, epic “gazer”, but lyrically it delves into much heavier subjects, such as the hopelessness one can feel when everything you pursue seems constantly out of your grasp, and the nihilistic tendencies that I [Read More]

For a lot of our fans and for us, it’s been music. Its power to heal, comfort, and be a lifeline has never been greater and more needed than now. We wanted the music video to convey the same symbolic message: that music could be ‘The Antidote,’ the one thing that makes everyone feel less alone and brings us together. It was an amazing experience working with our friend and director Jensen [Read More]
