NEWS: Fountain of youth discovered at Concord Pavilion with the United We Rock Tour featuring Styx, REO Speedwagon and Don Felder

We are pleased to report that the fountain of youth is no myth as it was discovered at the Concord Pavilion last night. The United We Rock Tour featuring Styx, REO Speedwagon and Don Felder delivered a night of music that left the crowd and musicians rejuvenated and energized, reclaiming the spirit of their youth. Each band sounded incredible and it was obvious they all have been held in a time capsule. They rocked the stage with intense energy and fervor, delivering nonstop rock n roll from start to finish. It was amazing to see these legendary musicians perform with endless stamina and passion, exceeding many musicians half their age. They literally gave 150% on that stage. WATCH: Shallow Side release music video for Renegade (Styx)

We are so excited to share with you the newly released video from Shallow Side for their cover of Styx’s Renegade. “Renegade” as well as their previous single “Rebel” will appear on their debut full length album ONE on Thermal Entertainment, LLC due in 2017.   “Renegade” is the band’s take on the classic Styx song written by Tommy Shaw.   Eric Boatright says “The song for me has it all. I’ve always been a fan of what I would consider one of America’s greatest rock bands and it became a no brainer when we mentioned ‘Renegade.’ Love Styx, love the song and we wanted to take that same world and bring it to where we are today.” The band received a great endorsement when Tommy Shaw was sent the video and said “Damn that’s smokin’, I approve”. Summertime for me in the ’80s was filled with days spent at the beach, hanging with friends and listening to great rock and roll. My car was filled with Styx cassettes as they were the playlists of my fun summer times.  Our contributing photographer Brian Kirksey recently caught Styx perform at the City National Civic in San Jose. Summertime for me in the ’80s was filled with days spent at the beach, hanging with friends and listening to great rock and roll.
