Hell yes, what a great way to kick off our long weekend! We are watching the new video out now from Taylor Hawkins for his track Range Rover Bitch. The song is off his mini LP KOTA which was released on November 11th. The six song LP titled KOTA which stands for King of The Assholes features Hawkins on lead vocals and nearly every instrument, with help from a few comrades in arms. Taylor just released a video for his hypnotic groovy rock track and the video highlights Hawkins love of 80’s videos.  He told Rolling Stone in a statement, “Liam Lynch did an incredible job on the ‘Range Rover Bitch’ video. I think our shared love of that pre-MTV late ’70s/very early ’80s direct-to-video late night television Don Kirshner/Midnight Special vibe really shines through on this video. Radio Black working on new album and this is definitely one you want to be part of!

It was only a couple weeks ago where we told you about the great new song, Run Away by Radio Black featuring Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins on drums. You can read that original post here. Radio Black premieres new song featuring Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins on drums

Grunge three piece rock band, Radio Black has premiered a new song, “Run Away” featuring Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins on drums.  The song, which was recorded at Dave Grohl‘s studio and home of the famed Sound City mixing console, Studio 606.  “Run Away,” is the first song off a to-be-announced upcoming album, which is recorded and produced by John “Lou” Lousteau, Fireball Ministry front-man and “Sound City” documentary producer Jim Rota, and Brad Smith of Blind Melon and features  appearances from studio players including Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), and Mick Murphy (My Ruin, Chevy Metal). One thing I really love about today’s music scene is that in addition to loving my bands, I can also get to enjoy their many several side projects. Side projects back in the ’70s and ’80s would be the demise of a band or member replacements. Fast forward to today and side projects are just as welcome as a side of fries. Today I wanted to share with you the news of Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins new project, The Birds of Satan.
