Get ready for a new festival! The Houston Open Air which is set for September 24-25th in Houston, Texas promises to deliver music, whiskey, craft beer and gourmet man food! Check out the new video by Mariachi Muerto for Defender

We told you a couple months ago about a great Latin style Rap/Rock, Mariachi Muerto from Corpus Christi, TX. Mariachi Muerto is Ruben A Lopez on Lead Vocals, Mark A Pantoja on Rhythm Guitar, Lee Roy Lerma on Drums, and Roger Vela on Bass. They have released another great video. This time it is for their bad ass song, Defender. Check it out here: They have once again impressed me with their style of music. They have blends of a POD style but are in no way imitating as they have successfully created a unique style blending rap, rop and nu-metal all still while maintaining a strong Latin flair. Check out the new video for Apocalypse by alternative rockers, Sleeperstar

Hailing from Dallas, Texas is the melodic rock band Sleeperstar, bringing a blend of alternative and melodic rock to perfect levels to suit your music needs. Sleeperstar demonstrate that with hard work and determination, their music will shine through and bring to life the passion in their songs. They have recently released a great music video directed by Jordan Laessig for their song, Apocalypse. Check it out here:  The song has a sweet cinematic intro that guides into the alternative melodic rock track, straight with fuzzy guitars and emotionally driven lyrics. It really has a catchy melody that is a welcome spin on the usual dark apocalyptic tale. It is well produced track with engaging vocals that has definitely caught my attention. The song has just been released as a single and is available here on iTunes. The song will also be available on their second full length album, Lost Machines which is scheduled for an October 15th release. How about something a little different for your musical tastebuds? How about checking out some Latin style Rap/Rock with the band Mariachi Muerto from Corpus Christi, TX. Mariachi Muerto is Ruben A Lopez on Lead Vocals, Mark A Pantoja on Rhythm Guitar, Lee Roy Lerma on Drums, and Roger Vela on Bass. They released a video for their song, Who We Are and the video was shot and edited by Mando Lujan from “In My Room Productions”. They describe the song as “the song that defines the sound, attitude and platform to which we create musically.” Check it out here:   That is some pretty damn fine rappin and rockin if you ask me!
