We recently brought you our coverage of The Dreaming as they made a stop in San Francisco on their recent tour. You can check out our coverage of the show here: The Dreaming in SF. It was one of the best concerts and to see members of Stabbing Westward return to perform at the DNA Lounge years later was surreal. They delivered one of the most amazing sets filled with some Stabbing Westward tracks as well as their infectious new songs of their recent album, Rise Again.  Not a day goes by that I don’t listen to that album, it is incredible!! The Dreaming have just announced more tour dates for the second leg of the tour. The Dreaming and Die So Fluid deliver a night of spine tingling performances

March 7, 2015

Thursday night was quite an evening for us as we headed to the DNA Lounge in San Francisco for one of our most anticipated concerts. The Dreaming and Die So Fluid were on the bill and we have been counting down the days to this show. Well, with all that anticipation, we can tell you that The Dreaming and Die So Fluid blew us away and exceeded all of our expectations and delivered spine tingling performances. There is something surreal when you go to a concert and you leave feeling completely invigorated as you have just had your soul recharged to face the world another day. That is exactly how it was for us. We started the night off with a great interview with Die So Fluid which we will be bringing to later this weekend. It was exciting to hear that this was their first time performing in San Francisco. They have traveled the world, performed at major festivals and have a huge overseas following, so it was amazing to catch them perform [Read More]

The Dreaming set to release new album, Rise Again in February

December 10, 2014

I can still remember the time I saw Stabbing Westward, long ago in San Francisco. It was another Saturday night for me at the DNA Lounge which featured industrial and punk rock. It was Slave Unit and Stabbing Westward, I have to find my collection of ticket stubs to find the date, but nonetheless it was an amazing night! It was a time when many of my friends were frequenting the Palladium or other dance venues as I ventured out almost nightly in search of live music.  Damn, I loved Stabbing Westward and now I have a new (well, somewhat new) to love! The Dreaming. The Dreaming reunites Stabbing Westward’s Walter Flakus (keyboards, programming) and Christopher Hall (lead singer) and they are set on reawakening everyone’s love for Stabbing Westward with their new band. The Dreaming also features  guitarist Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy), bassistBrent Ashley (Static X) and one-time Stabbing Westward drummer Johnny Haro.  They are set to release their new album, Rise Again on February 10th, 2015 on Metropolis Records. Talk about an awesome birthday gift [Read More]

Brent Ashley returns to The Dreaming

June 28, 2013

Recently Los Angeles based rockers, The Dreaming announced that their bassist, Martin Kelly was leaving to pursue his career as a tattoo artist and to tour with his original band Living Dead Lights. Martin is an exceptional artist and I think he has a great career ahead of him with anything he does and we wish him well.   Shortly after, The Dreaming announced the return of Brent Ashley. Brent who has been successful with his custom line clothing line, Arrogant Armor will return on bass.  Brent posted the news on Facebook in a very funny post: We also got an update from Christopher as to what The Dreaming is working on and he had this to say, “I’m in the midst of recording the new album. We are putting together a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to do the album completely on our own without a label. Hopefully it will be done by the fall tour. It’s awesome to have Brent back. He was always the spark that kept the band alive and he [Read More]
